Rooms are dated, a bit dirty and I killed 5 different cockroaches during my stay. They should lower their prices more, or clean more, one or the other!

Good potential, and great location
I did not receive the requested room cleaning as scheduled. Took out our own trash. All staff were very friendly except for one male night receptionist who was not very friendly when my husband asked for a replacement parking pass because ours flew out the window. We did get bit a few times by something, who knows what. Our family next room over had a roach problem in their kitchenette. The building does need some renovating, but overall a safe stay and good location.

I frantically found Ewa Hotel Waikiki after my Marriott (Bonvoy) resort hotel notified me that it was not able to accommodate my booking due to popular demand, two weeks prior to the Honolulu Marathon. I had booked it three months in advance! Chose Ewa Hotel Waikiki for convenient location to the Honolulu Marathon (and my runner) and beach, Aqua/Aston value and decent parking options. The property is old and maintained but could use improvement. It is on a side street on Diamond Head/zoo end of Waikiki. Away from crowds and traffic. Tracy at the front desk & maintenance worker were very nice! I originally booked a studio kitchenette with balcony. After I checked into the room on the third floor, I couldn’t handle the room odor and smoking from the street. It was definitely not good for me and my allergies. Fortunately, a one-bedroom suite with kitchenette on the seventh floor, second to top floor, was available. It was completed with amenities, comfortable beds, fresh linens and cool tradewinds from an open balcony. Saved our stay! But I paid an additional upgraded charge.

This stay wasn’t great because the room did not have a microwave. Although it did have a great mini fridge. The room was also next to the laundry room which made it very difficult to sleep when other guests were doing laundry. The area outside the room was often very noisy. As always the hotel staff is very knowledgeable and always professional. They did offer to microwave my food at the front desk. But I felt it was asking too much.

Only stayed for one night for the Honolulu Marathon. I had other accommodations on Island but need a place in Waikiki for the event day. The property knew this and yet went above & beyond to accommodate everything we needed & more! Late checkout, parking options, a room change, EVERYTHING! Spoke with Tracy the date before check in to see what options we had and he was extremely helpful! He checked us in the next day and everything was in place for us as he promised. The room was as expected for an older Waikiki hotel but was what we needed it for.

The rooms are outdated interior and exterior. I had two bed bugs in my room, plus mold, room smelled stale .I switch rooms and it wasn’t better… I normally don’t write a bad review but this is ridiculous. You show pics on the website that doesn’t look like any of the actual room. I checked out the next day because they wouldn’t give me my money back for the night. It was my first time visiting Hawaii and I would never stay here again or refer anyone to book a stay. I’m totally disgusted and displeased with this property.

Honestly for the price it's not bad but don't expect any premiere service or rooms. AC was wonderful and the beds themselves are nice but the bathroom water can be a bit "harsh" and sometimes the lights will flicker. There is a paid parking lot but do bear in mind that you can sometimes be trapped by Garbage disposal trucks when leaving at certain time, due to the one way street to the hotel.The staff are friendly and very helpful and although they offer laundry machines, you will have to run around a bit between floors. Overall it's not bad but it's not amazing.

Awesome location. Amazing food trucks right out front. You get what you pay for. Great deal, stayed here twice and will again if I want to be in Waikiki close to the beach.

The place was having a sale so decided to book. There were roaches in my bathroom & living room, on top of paying for your stay, they want you to pay extra for parking, if you park overnight on the street make sure to wake up early on you will have a ticket. Woke up to the people across the hall from me yelling and arguing while cursing
