I stayed at New York-New York for the first time, and unfortunately, it was my worst experience in Las Vegas and I’ve been over 15 times.
The room itself was fine for the price, but it lacked basic amenities: no fridge and no coffee machine, which was disappointing. Check-in was long and staff were not particularly helpful or responsive.
I had a confirmed $75 food and beverage credit through Hotels.com. Hotels.com even contacted the hotel directly to confirm it, and I was told to visit the front desk to receive the card. I was given a list of eligible restaurants and told to charge my meals to the room. I did exactly that only to be informed at check-out that the credit wouldn’t be honored and the charges would stay on my bill.
I didn’t have time to argue at 3:30 a.m. before catching my flight, but I reported the issue to Hotels.com. Overall, terrible service and zero accountability from the staff. For such a large hotel, I expected much better. Definitely not a place I would return to.
