Check in was easy and a parking garage with valet service is offered. The room was very nice, it looked modern and updated. Slightly deceiving as we pulled the covers back and hair was found in both beds and two pillow cases were covered in makeup. Do not think the sheets were changed between guests.

Loved the history & boutique feel of El Cortez. Very short walk to Freemont. Food was great. Starbucks is a big plus! & you can't beat free shuttle to airport! Would stay there again!

It was a nice little room. The only thing I didn't like was if check out is at 12pm and I had a do not disturb sign out then why did we have housekeeping knocking then open the door at 10am ? I had the lock on top so she couldn't open it but hello!!!!???

I was on the 7th floor. At 2 am there was lots of noise especially coming through my bathroom. not sure where it was coming from. Not as many low cost restaurants as in other casinos.

The El Cortez was a great place to stay! It was our first visit to Las Vegas so we had no idea how loud Fremont St would be (right outside our window). The music was VERY loud until about 3 am - but hey - we were there for the fun anyways. We stayed in the tower and our room was very nice and comfortable. The Casino was fun and the staff was friendly. This hotel has a story and lots of charm! Would definitely stay here again, maybe with some earplugs.

Overall it wasnt bad, however our coffee machine in the room didnt work and the room hadnt been reset properly when we arrived (i.e water bottles opened and not replaced, dirty hand towel, amongst other things)

Very loud at night music heard in room the whole time. The room smelled like cigarettes in a non smoking room due the casino right below. The room was small and a bit outdated for recently being renovated. No elevators to the rooms, stairs only. It was in a convenient location right off the highway and right near other attractions downtown Vegas. Staff was friendly. Would probably not stay at this hotel again but it wasn’t bad for the price. Besides the smell the room was clean and house keeping did come clean during our stay.

Overall, we felt that this place was great for the price. Plus, they offered free parking. Those are the two reasons we chose El Cortez. Our only complaint was that signage from the garage to the registration desk/lobby was absent. We had no idea of where we were going, and we had trouble trying to find someone to give us directions. The whole journey (dragging luggage and overnight bags) from the garage to the registration desk was terrible. Thank goodness the registration staff was so great.

Nicer than I expected
Room was very big and well appointed. Everything clean and tidy. I was really impressed for a hotel off The Fremont street! Casino was fun but didn’t get to hang out much. Recommend The Cortez!
