Cute English hotel

I loved how authentic and English the hotel felt. It was super cozy and I felt safe in the area. It was walkable to most anything (including Big Ben, London Eye, etc if you are okay walking a couple miles). The rooms were tight but completely manageable. The bathroom and specifically the shower was really small but again manageable. The Juliet balcony was a nice touch!

Close to Paddington station, Hyde Park and lots of eating options. Good breakfast, comfortable bed, and friendly staff, but had to ask twice for soap. Also an extremly small bathroom with nowhere to hang towels, and a leaking shower hose that wet the whole bathroom. Dated decore throughout, very limited space for luggage.

Great location close to all amenities, transport, restaurants, city centre and parks, etc. The room was nicely presented and the reception staff made sure our stay was comfortable and easy. We were given a room on a suitable floor, taking into account the amount of uggage we had. The reception staff ensured also that our luggage was stored safely prior to checkin. The professionalism and oersonalisation displayed was comparable to a 5 star Hotel anywhere. The Room was nicely presented, comfortable, clean and a good sized window and with all amenities. My main reason to stay here was because of the Hotel being so close to the City Centre, but a little away for peace and quiet as well. The Breakfast was nicely cooked to order and with a variety of breads and cereal as well.

Hotel is very central and near to get tubes to everywhere you need to get Only downside was that we were in room 16 which was on top floor which had 72 steps to climb which was not great if you have a young child. Breakfast was lovely and the lady serving was really helpful

I had a pleasant stay at the Admiral Hotel in London. It’s a nice, budget-friendly place with very friendly staff and a great location—just a short walk to Paddington Station. The area feels safe and has plenty of bars and restaurants nearby, which was super convenient. The internet connection was strong, and I appreciated the simple breakfast provided each morning. The only downsides were that there’s no lift, which might be tough for elderly guests or anyone with knee issues, and the bathroom was very small—though it was clean. There’s also no official fire exit, but the balcony could be used in an emergency. Overall, it’s a decent hotel that offers good value for money. I’d stay here again for a short, budget-conscious trip.

The tall wardrobe was not secured to the wall or securely located on a solid ground. It fell towards my sister-in-law as she opened the door. She fell on the floor and sustained a small bump on the back of her head and sore back. Fortunately, the doors were opened to release part of the gravity of the wardrobe. The wardrobe was put on the carpet floor which is soft. The wardrobe was so tall that was shaky and quite easy to fall when you open or close the doors. Reported to the reception but apparently no action was taken on this safety issue.

A fine hotel in a terrific location, steps from Paddington with unlimited options for food. The room was clean, great bed, quiet. The man at the front desk, Kevin, couldn’t have been more helpful. Kudos to the staff in general.

It was ok

Good location near to Paddington Station.. felt safe at night here. Check in easy, Kevin was most polite and helpful.. a credit to the hotel 👍..room was clean, but very hot at night, we slept with window open, and didn’t even get in the beds. Breakfast was poor, the lady running it was clearly stressed and fed up. We have full English breakfast, it was ok but only warm.. no fresh fruit, no pastries.. there was a toaster, and tea/ coffee urns.. but a lack of clean cups.. a small room, it was cramped.. a poor experience. However, it is only a 3*.. but £187 for one night.

The hotel was fine my issue was I was on the bottom floor room 21. At 7am I had breakfast noise that woke me up before I was ready, and at night until almost 2 am loud noise from upstairs constantly, I think this was because the lobby. Also the kettle was disguising and I had to clean it, even then I was scared to drink out of it. I will not be coming back. Location is great and staff was lovely

PROS: walkable, safe, staff, easy to get to transportation, breakfast lady was so nice, having a small fridge was great, hot water in shower. CONS: rooms are hot and small. The first room we were given was in the basement (22); we asked to switch and were given a different room on the third floor (12) . If you have mobility issues (we don’t) it is narrow and steep steps. Even with the window open it was hot all the time. Beds were uncomfortable and pillows are hard and flat, towels are not soft. When we moved rooms we by accident left a pricey travel pillow that was never found/returned. We liked the area but we would not stay at this hotel again.

It’s an old property catering almost exclusively to Eastern European tourists. A bit challenging with narrow stairs no lift, and mini en-suite facilities. But it’s convenient to paddington and the park, clean with friendly helpful staff. You get what you pay for.

Very poor hotel dated and grubby with poor staff

Upon arrival we were approached outside and asked where we were staying then shown our parking spot on the road which cost an extra £15 per night. I had been informed of the extra charge after the booking was made. The room was small and cramped with a tiny ensuite, the walls were grubby with marks and everything felt old, not enough towels supplied and we had to ask for the missing ones and were told it was not an error but the normal amount, one face towel per couple? The room heating was not working with cold radiators and non existant control knobs (we were told they were removed because some guests break them). After trying unsuccessfuly to put the heating on for us as the room was not cold but not a comfortable temperature he brought us a very dirty radiator with a 6 inch cord that we couldn't plug in unless we placed it upon either the bedside table or the small unit where the kettle resided. The headboard was grubby and torn in places, draughty sash windows. On the second evening after showering we had a knock on the door, the manager came in and asked if I had just showered, I said yes and he went into the bathroom and accused me of showering with the cubicle door open, not true, the few drips of water on the floor were from me getting dried, he said there had been a leak into the room below. I looked at the floor and the sealant was in a bad way and missing in parts. In short inadequate maintenance blamed on the guest. Have pictures of room but can't upload them.

I was not impressed. Location was amazing but room was tiny, no chair and bathroom was a toilet right next to shower. Nothing at all like the photos on the website. No lifts either so was on 4th floor and had to use steps. Won't go there again
