Good location but a little too crowded and aging
It is a large hotel, conveniently located. The hotel has restaurants on the property plus several within walking distance. On the negative side, the hotel interior is rather old and showing its age. The lobby is often crowded and noisy.

I have stayed here before. The staff is always friendly and we got upgradet, but unfortunately we were to close to the train tracks and the noise was very loud. We woke up early because noise from the trains and our neighbours. The walls are very thin.

Poor sleep - too noisy
The hotel itself is fine with comfy beds, good shower and great location. The only problem was the hotel is so noisy. The heating was loud so couldn’t be on making the room cold. The noise from guests outside the hotel was loud and went on until very late. There was also an awful squealing noise outside on the last night which we couldn’t work out what it was. All this resulted in 3 terrible night sleep.

Standard rooms need a bit of an update, so I’d recommend spending a little extra to upgrade to a Club room which is better value as it includes breakfast, and the decor is much better - also with good views. I use the hotel regularly due to parking facilities and location, great proximity to the station, shops, bars and restaurants. Quality of the food at breakfast is not the quality it once was, so at £20 pp, this is not worth it and I prefer to eat out if I don’t have a breakfast included in the cost of the room.

The staff on reception were good. But the room safe didn't work because it was locked open and the shower door needs sealing round the door. And the kettle needs a longer lead so it can reach the socket so you don't have to put it on the floor. But would stay here again

Good location, easy check-in. I liked the addition of the honesty counter with drinks and snacks available in reception for late arrivers. The room itself was very tired, uncomfortable and bleak. Needs to be modernised to remove the old telephony and intercom infrastructure of the past and maybe provide power sockets and charging points by the bed.

Great hotel
Had issue with heating in room, maintenance came straight away and also a portable heat brought to room. Very friendly and pleasant staff. Was just an overnight stay but will come back for longer Hotel great value for monay paid and in a very nice safe area.

What a gem of a find in London
I really enjoyed my stay here. It is a traditional hotel style. From the welcome at reception and check-in. I was impressed and will stay again.

Over the years we’ve stayed here a lot. It’s in a good location with convenient parking at a good price. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the rooms are always clean. The only minor negatives were the 4th floor corridor smelt quite musty and damp, the walls are quite thin and you can hear conversations next door and unfortunately the hotel was too busy to offer an extended late checkout but this wasn’t the end of the world.

Toilet flush was bad. Sink didn’t drain and backed up. Entrance light was not working. Didn’t have a new toilet role for new room occupants. Very disappointed and dissatisfied.
