Staff, especially the breakfast staff, was great—warm, helpful, friendly. But room was awful. Not so much small but nothing worked, shower, sink, internet.
This hotel is in a fantastic location. Very quick walk to Bayswater station. Load of shopping for food or drinks. The hotel has a beautiful lobby, and it is very quiet. Our room was small as expected. Only fault was the wifi. It was excellent in the lobby’s beautiful lounge but in our room I had to stand by the door. Would stay here again.
The staff were very helpful. The lobby is beautiful. Good location.

Enjoyed our trip. Staff could have been a little more helpful concerning amenities (afternoon teas) available! Cramped bathroom, especially shower and sink, as well as size overall. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay. Location wasn’t bad.

The overall experience was fine. But the room had so many flat brown flying bugs. The hotel didn’t do anything about it except trying to change the room on the last day of our one-week stay. I will say the highlight was the breakfast. The staff for that was very nice. The front desk staff could use some work though.
The original architecture in the public areas is striking. The quality of the chesterfield sofas and chairs were so comfortable.
The staff were all extremely friendly and efficient. Special mention to Carmen and Manuela, two of the breakfast staff who are so good at their job and share a tremendous work ethic with a smile. When we came down for breakfast on our second morning they knew what we drank and that I liked my toast put through the machine twice.
When we return to London we will be staying at this Hotel.
The one criticism is the size of the room. We booked a Deluxe Double Room only to find it is so small there isn't room for a chair.
Staff helpful and kind and Receptionist in the morning very lovely. Great location and history. Would recommend.

An okay stay.
The staff were very friendly and we were given a room upgrade on arrival. However other than the reception and dining area the rest of the hotel felt very dated and in need of a refit and TLC. Our room was at the back of the hotel with the fan units out side our window (and a worker) and so we couldn't open it, luckily we had aircon in the room.
The room was dirty on check in and the fridge did not work not to mention the tub was partially clogged most of our stay.
The hotel was good as it was a 3 minute walk to 2 different underground lines. There was food and a convenience store very close as well.
Staff were wonderful, hotel was clean and breakfast was excellent. However the rooms were very tired looking in need of a refurbishment. TVs were from 2005 with no smart features along with blinds broken and shower head coming off the wall. This was even with an upgrade from deluxe double big room.
