Helpful, welcoming and smiling staff. It’s a beautiful property with some wonderful original features but it is a little tired in places. Room was ok, decor was quite dark/masculine. I was facing the street in the basement but it was nicely quiet. Could have benefitted from a USB point to charge my phone, but reception happily charged it whilst I had breakfast. Took me a while to find the towels in the bathroom - they were on a high shelf. Luckily I’m 5’7” so could reach but I know several friends that wouldn’t have been able to.

No evidence of booking from hotel!

Good breakfast But furious our booking could not be found… waited an 1hour then told there is no evidence of booking again. After using chat on Hotel.com they found the booking.. then another 30 mins to find room then told me booking not paid for which it was. Very upset as going to dinner and show and was late. Asked them to pay for our drinks while we waited,which they did. Poor communication from hotel on the situation and very embarrassing as I had booked it for 2 x friends.

Hotel main areas are lovely and the staff made me feel really comfortable, the staff make the overall hotel a better experience. Room was very small and run down but it probably goes in line with the reasonable price. Location is lovely.

The place is one street over from two Tube stations. Lots of places within walking distance to get basic food items. Safe walk. Right next to a great park. Housekeeping did a good job of straightening the room. Room small compared to USA hotels. Told this was normal for the area. Asked for a queen size bed in the reservation. Got a full size bed instead.

Once a beautiful landmark which has fallen into disrepair. Needs a good dusting. Worn and ripped carpets. Trash and debris in front of entrance. While staff was very friendly and accommodating, housekeeping was lacking ( tray of dirty dishes left in room). Curtain hanging off rod. Bartender did not know how to make an old fashioned, or a manhattan. Overall disappointing.

Much better than expected. Nice area close to Queensway and Bayswater so good tube line options. Room a bit tired but bed was comfortable and linen clean. The price was good value for a London one night stay.

Careless stuff, No Amenities in the room, You have to call multiple times for anyone to answer you. The front desk swapped my room with one that is less in quality and the rooms are Not as described online at all. I will never repeat.

Loved the old style charming place. Very conveniently located, friendly and hospital. Very small and tight but met our needs. Once in tge room there are approximately 5 steps down to the room, I could missed that in the description but would stay here again. Excellent on site english breakfast.

Beautiful hotel, with lovely sitting areas. Good breakfast. AC worked great. Beds were ok. Loved mini-fridge. Only complaint was the room was very small - only a couple of feet of space beyond the bed. It was ok for 3 nights for 2 of us but would feel cramped for longer stay.
