The photos make the hotel appear much more luxurious than it is. Our original room was extremely cramped- unable to barely walk beside the bed. The walls appeared dirty, scratches all over it- and when going to the front desk, they said this room was newly upgraded. For the price I paid, and for the description of the room- I was extremely unsatisfied; my opinion, definitely not even close to a luxury stay, at best average. The staff was kind of enough to move us to a different room, that was more matching the description of the room I paid for- which was more suitable- however the way this hotel is described, that room was still just mediocre.
I will say the location of the hotel was perfect. Aldgate tube station was right next door which made getting around London very pleasant, and a short walk to the Tower of London.
I would recommend when you look at the price of what they ask nightly- you ask yourself if you would pay that purely for the location. The rooms, however, are severely misguided when compared to the pictures. It was not worth the price in my opinion.
