Great location near Paddington Station. The building is gorgeous outside. Unfortunately, the inside of the property could do with upgrading. Our room was basic, and there were no hooks for anything in the bathroom, so we had to leave towels on the floor.

Overall, location of Linden hotel felt like what you are paying for. The area of Paddington was lovely- lots of restaurants around, parks nearby, walkable to Kensington Gardens, 5 minute walk to Paddington Station. It was our first stay in London so I’m not sure if all hotels are like this- but Lindon House is a very old building and there is NO LIFT. My friend and I were placed on the very top floor (approx. 6 flights, 77 steps). We weren’t offered any kind of assistance bringing our luggage up and the staircase was super narrow and winding so keep that all in mind when booking. Also no refrigerator (again this might be common in London hotels, I’m not sure). The room felt like a dorm room in an attic but I guess this is what a 3-star hotel gets you in the city…

Hotel is very close to everything
Close to everything eg shops, train station. A bit old but clean hotel. Very friendly staff. The only negative is we could hear very loud noise from the room above us that woke us up so early.

My main concern was with health and safety. Clearly the room i had booked was NOT protected by a fully tested fire door as i could see direct light between the back of the door frame and the access corridor on the opposite side of the room

Very basic accommodation, bedding not very clean, fire exit blocked with cardboard boxes. We were on top floor with a lot of stairs which was fine for our short stay but if you had bigger luggage would have been a problem as no lift available.

This is not a resort. Old building with small rooms, lots of stairs, thin walls and yes small shower. If your big, this might NOT be the place for you. For us, the accomodations were adequate and the location was great for the price. A two minute walk from Paddington Station. We would definitely stay here again.

Pros: good location, close to food, cafe’s, Hyde Park, train and bus stations, everything you could need. It was easy to find and staff were there when we needed. They did allow us to leave our bags for a few hours (not locked but out of sight and they reminded us to not leave valuables) so we could explore without lugging them around before checking into our next hotel. Now for the con’s: Not like the pictures at all!!! I could touch both walls while sitting on the bed and the bathroom door only opened 1/3 of the way due to the shoebox-sized sink being in the way. To get to the shower you’d have to squeeze toward the toilet, then close the door to get to the shower and it was impossible to get dressed in the bathroom! There’s no AC, and the noise from the road below is quite loud if the window is open. They tried to charge us 5 pounds for a lost key card (only provided 1) but then refunded it after? There’s a fair amount of stairs and no lift, so if you travel light, during cooler temperatures and are a small person this location could work for you. We won’t be returning and regretted staying 2 nights.

Good for a night or 2
The rooms was a bit small but in good conditions. A good option to stay a night or two. I wouldn't stay longer personally. The room was in the underground floor.

The room was decent. However, the shower cubicle in the bathroom was clogged. The location was perfect as it was near the Paddington station. I only have one major complaint with the hotel: I got to learn from my wife that when she checked in, they requested her card details for security purposes. The issue was that they also took down her CVV card details. This is definitely not for security purposes and the hotel should not be requesting the CVV details of the card. My wife ended up having to contact the bank to get her card cancelled as her card may be compromised. Overall a poor to average experience.
