Friendly hotel in great location
I stayed for 3 nights and had a great time. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. It’s not a luxury hotel but it’s a clean and very friendly warm place to stay in a fab location. It’s only a 4 minute walk from Paddington station, a 20 minute walk to Oxford Street and a 10 minute walk to Hyde Park. We enjoyed our scrambled eggs every morning. Make sure to arrive at breakfast before at 8.30 because they don’t serve scrambled eggs or porridge after 8.30am.

Great stay overall. Booked 3 rooms and all were clean and accommodating to our needs. Great location right near Paddington Station. Friendliness of staff and great service from the moment we walked in. Staff brought to my attention the timeframe when the free English Breakfast would be served which I was not even aware came with my booking. This was a pleasant surprise and very tasty too. Happy we stayed here

Surprise at how close the Mitre was to Paddington train station - the ease to catch the Elizabeth Line underground to Paddington station and a short 1 block walk to the hotel saved time and money.

Convenient parking, enabling a walk to Albert Hall. Staff very pleasant. Single glazed windows, nice but very noisy. Beautiful old building but in desperate need of upgrade - especially the bathroom. International visitors would definitely get wrong impression of an ‘English’ breakfast! ALL IN ALL, ADEQUATE FOR OUR OVERNIGHT STAY

A pleasant stay. Rooms are small but adequate. Excellent sit down table service breakfast! Friendly and helpful staff. We had no heat one night but they fixed it the next morning and if I had told them during the night they would have brought up an electric heater. Great location near Paddington station.

Friendly, cheerful hotel.
A nice basic hotel, very convenient for Paddington station. My return train was cancelled so they were able to let me stay for an extra night. Staff are friendly and efficient. The rooms are a bit tired, but I slept well and it was quiet for a central London hotel. Much better than others I have stayed in nearby; I shall be back.

A tired and uncomfortable hotel
This is one of those London hotels that seems to survive solely because of its location. The property is quite run-down, creaky, and badly in need of renovation. The walls are so thin that I could hear everything from the guest in the neighboring room, including constant coughing and loud phone conversations. As a result, I barely got any sleep. I politely asked the front desk if it was possible to move to another room, but they told me they were fully booked and unable to accommodate my request. However, I noticed that rooms were still available to book online, which made me feel as though I was being dismissed. Overall, it was an uncomfortable and unpleasant stay, and I will not be returning. If you’re desperate to stay near Paddington, this hotel might be worth considering, but for me, it was one of the worst experiences I’ve had in London—and I’ve stayed in hundreds of hotels over the past five years.
