Good location, nice room, it said shared bathroom but my room had one inside and it was working (just the water pressure in the shower was low), the staff was very friendly and sweet, the elevator was the smallest one I’ve ever seen but it’s okay

Perfect find!

Super find in a great part of London. Easily accessed by public transport & air conditioned with en-suite bathrooms. They could do with some accessible accommodation for disabled - I did ask - but on the whole, a lovely stay.

Great location, just a short walk to Gloucester Road tube station which is served by Picadilly, District & Circle lines. Bus stops a short walk away (served by the 49 and 74 buses). Museums are a few bus stops away, so too is Kensington High Street. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. There is a Tesco Express opposite the tube station, a Waitrose by the tube station and a large Sainsbury's on Cromwell Road, which runs perpendicular to Gloucester Road. Stayed in a Classic Single. Bed comfy, bathroom large, adequate space in closet, fridge, large windows in both bedroom and bathroom. Kettle, safe.....medicine cabinet with lots of space for toiletries. Air conditioner worked well. Daily service from Housekeeping was excellent. Hotel is older style with quirky things like creaking floorboards under the carpet and the tiniest elevator/lift I have seen. But for me, this is the charm I come to London for. My room was on the 4th floor and faced the road. When the windows were closed, I didn't hear the cars. I slept soundly. A pleasant stay. Great value for the price paid, especially since I was out during the day. Continental breakfast was included in the rate. GBP5 supplement for full English Breakfast which I had once during my 5 night stay. I searched for a long time and looked at many hotels. I had even booked another hotel, but when I read the reviews of that one and the Montana, I cancelled that booking and was very happy with the Montana. I would stay there again.

Solo traveling

Stayed in a single room as a solo traveller, so can only speak about my experience in this room, which was small but well sized and stocked for a single traveller. The good: Bed and bedding were both of a decent standard, was pleasantly surprised. Comfortable to sleep on The room had a fridge which was a nice bonus. Good sized bathroom. The location is excellent for museums and West London attractions, and literally o one minute walk to Gloucester road Station, one of the prettiest imo The bad: The location is busy and loud. If your room faces the road expect some noise. Equally, this is a tired old building, and as such expect to hear noise of floorboards cracking some weird water pipe noises etc. Overall, given the value for money of the cheap room and the location, would i stay again? Definitely yes

Location was very convenient with plenty of food choices nearby. The room itself was very small and in the lower level of an old Victorian. The hotels linen/housekeeping room was right outside our window. They could look right into our room, so we had to keep the curtains closed the whole time.

Ok for the price in that part of London though room was tiny with an uncomfortable mattress and curtain too small for the window. But staff are friendly and the indian restaurant was very good. Sort out the mattress and Id consider it again.

We loved our stay at Montana Hotel! Staff were fantastic. Breakfast was fabulous. We walked 25km for 2 days & following day tube to Tower Hill to do Tower of London. Walkable to Kensington, Buckingham & beyond. We had large room on lower floor. Room was great but we needed air conditioner on when in room or was stuffy & hot apart from that no problems at all :)

An excellent choice near Knightsbridge.

Very nice hotel close to tube. Near several places to shop and eat. Also near Hyde Park. Front office staff very helpful and gave us a map and made suggestions. Air conditioner was wonderful in our room. Really liked having a fridge and safe in our room too. Very comfy bed. Shower worked really well.

Fantastic Value!

Had a fantastic one-night stay at Montana Hotel with my three-year-old. We arrived at noon and our room wasn't ready, but we were able to freshen up and leave our luggage, which was put into our room for us when it was ready. The room was small but comfortable. The bathroom was a little dated and tiny, but clean. It took me a long time to find the AC control panel as it was hidden behind the TV screen and I had to call the front desk, but once sorted it worked great and kept us cool. The staff were all so welcoming, and great with my son, and we enjoyed a drink in the lounge in the evening. The location was perfect, just across the street from Gloucester Road and we easily walked to supermarkets, shops, pubs, Science Museum and Hyde Park. I was so impressed at the value for money at Montana Hotel and I would definitely go back!
