Great location and staff, old dirty hotel

I hate writing a negative review when the employees were doing their best so would like to mention that first. I arrived to London around 11am and was hoping to just store my bags until check-in but was able to check in early. This was unexpected and a nice start to the stay. The room and bathroom were dirty and not very well maintained. Unfortunately the bed was the least comfortable I’ve ever slept on. I typically don’t struggle to fall asleep on a busy vacation but here couldn’t ever seem to get comfortable. I would not stay back here unless I were unable to find anywhere else for an even somewhat comparable price. At the time, there were plenty of other options that might’ve been a bit less convenient location wise. I would recommend going with something like that instead.

I cannot say much positive about this hotel. The location is close to Baywater stations and that is where the positives end. Our room was facing the street and for the first 2 nights, there was a street party happening until 4am. After the second night of very little sleep, we requested a new room. We were told because we weren't packed up and ready to move, that was not possible (this was at 630am and we had an all-day event) The staff said "It should be better tonight". We said that after 2 sleepless nights we weren't willing to risk it. When we returned at 8pm from our day tour, we asked again for a new room. They were able to accommodate, however, the new room was no better. We left the next morning and found a new hotel. They were completely unapologetic. The first room was VERY hot and the A/C seemed to turn off every half every so we would have to get up and turn it on again. The windows were very thin and provide zero sound barrier to any noise. Both rooms looked tidy enough, but the property looked a bit dated. Please save yourself the trouble and DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL.

Location great, but…

A good location, but low standard pillows and bed made for an uncomfortable night. Also ensure you brief your staff that AMEX is not accepted. We went through two tries, declined, for Amex to inform me it was declined at the hotel end. This was not the receptionist’s fault. She was embarrassed.

I booked two rooms for 3 people (2 in one, 1 in the other). After an extremely poor experience at another place, this booking was a real relief. So friendly, lovely and accommodating at such short notice. Well positioned near tubes and buses, right near Kensington Gardens, plenty nearby and the hotel stay itself was just absolutely gorgeous. Staff were SO lovely. Thank you so so much for everything ❤️

We booked an executive triple room but were given a basement room that did not match the description at all. Instead of a single bed, there was a sofa bed, and the room was too cramped for three people. Adding to the disappointment, there were no windows and the AC couldn't be used because the outlet was inconveniently located directly above the sofa bed. For £340 per night, this experience was incredibly disappointing. I strongly advise against staying at this hotel.

Great stay in a great location. Brilliant customer service from staff, had an issue with the tv remote that was resolved immediately. Only thing I would say is take ear plugs as we were kept up by the rain and noises from the floor above (I am deep sleeper as well). Also, the toilet roll is scented which is not the best so we had to go out and get non scented toilet roll. Other than that I would recommend this hotel to others. Breakfast was also lovely :)

Very disappointed

Upon reaching our hotel at 9:30 we were asked to pay the full amount for a superior double room and I had asked on booking for a twin room. We left our bags and headed out for the day. We returned at 22:00 and was given room G101. It was just around the corner from reception and next to the laundry room. When we entered the room us was very cold. We used the difficult room temp to try our best to heat it but was only able to turn the fan down. In the room was a double bed and a low camp bed. The huge windows were so drafty and no sound proof to the road outside. Add to that the ‘curtains’ were voile and did not close. Light out in bathr I spoke to a staff member to tell of our disappointment and he said there were no other rooms due to the hotel being full. It was not his fault but I just expressed how disappointed we were as this room was not up to the standard we had paid for on the morning. This room must be the last room to be given out and I imagine that even though we paid for the room in full at 9:30am as we didn’t arrive back until 22:30 we were given the last and worse room. I had been recommended this hotel by a friend who had stayed in an upper floor room with 2 large beds. As we had requested a twin room and didn’t get it I slept on a terrible camp bed felt every spring. The Queensway hotel nearby looked the same quality hotel but it’s 30% a night cheaper. Such an upsetting situation with my mum for her 70th birthday.
This is not a bed to sleep on when we book a twin room. It was so uncomfortable I did not sleep.
Thin curtains on a huge drafty noisy window and did not close.
The in room system was difficult to use leading to temp of 16c on anrrival and 12c by morning.

The area was great. Your staff were friendly we can’t fault the reception team. We felt safe it was convenient. We arrived in the night to a room with no window and this was not what we expected. I found it hard to sleep at first it felt weird. Please state this on booking. I was looking for a room last min and avoided the ones that stayed this. That’s my only complaint.
