This property is meant to be a vip access hotel so meant to offer room upgrades with our platinum membership with Expedia if they’re available, we have stayed at this property at least 2-3 times a year for the last 10 years and never had an issue with the upgrade process even 2 weeks ago when we stayed at the property. However this weekend we had booked a 1 bedroom suite and the upgrade was available however Ishan one of their managers refused to recognise that they are a VIP access hotel and don’t offer this at the hotel. We have stayed in all room classes that this hotel offers including the duplex suite, 1&2 bedroom suite, presidential suite down to the club room so we are fully aware of what each room has to offer, we had paid £600 for the night this weekend and wanted a London eye/big Ben view, this manager advised there is no such thing as a 1 bedroom suite that offers this and advised the hotel didn’t have any availability for any upgrades. I had to prove him wrong on both occasions by showing him pictures of the 1 bed suite with the view that we have stayed in and then their online portal showing an upgrade available. This manager was more interested in arguing over the sake of £50 considering the cost paid for the room! The room was dirty and the toilet blocked! There was noisy building work going on outside with no prior notice of this before our arrival. Every year this hotel chain has increased the price and downgraded on the service provided.
When we stayed there in December 2023 it was a much more deluxe experience with in room amenities such as afternoon tea with shortbread cookies, luxurious shampoo, conditioner and lotion, free use of umbrellas, etc. On our second stay in September 2024 there were less amenities and on this visit none.
Need to fill the soap, extra soap, and toothpaste, and things like that, the soap was empty, the room service was disappointed for charging me 10£ for "trey" and in the morning I asked to bring something for my son for his birthday, they didn't bring nothing.
Beautiful location, hotel clean and staff friendly! I will book again!

I am very disappointed with Park Plaza as follows:
1) I was not aware that I did not have a view when I booked- Not fully clear or transparent and you wanted another $200/night for a view - Really ???
2) Housekeeping did not refill body soap bottles or shampoo… I had to call front desk for services
3) Housekeeping did not replace or replenish toilet paper - Very disappointing .. I had to call the front desk for services
For an extra few dollars, I would have booked the the Savoy or any other high quality hotel where I know I would have received excellent service
I will be sharing my terrible experience on social media … Safe to say, will not be back
Overall good location and decent rooms. The room that we got however seemed a little old and some lines on the walls etc. good but for the price I would say a little steep.
Very nice hotel but unfortunately service is not good especially in the restaurant/bar. I did notice it's a London thing as we had poor service in 95% of the places we visited.

Not worth the money. Though the main areas and outside are impressive the rest of the hotel is not. Room smelt musty. Bed poorly made. Some furniture in the room was in poor condition.
Very convenient to restaurants, transportation, sightseeing.
