After a brief phone call pre arrival I was granted an early check In from the front desk manager, Then on arrival I was told we had been upgraded to a suite, at this point all was going great however looking at the pictures from my booking my original room looked far more modern than the “tired suite” that was given, after a delayed train journey we just went with it and then headed into the city to the theatre,
When I woke up the next Morning the hotel had took a random payment for hundreds of pounds out of my bank (unauthorised and still unexplained) so I went to speak to the receptionist. His response was outrageous , he told me the manager would be in Monday and “it was not his problem” I remained calm but explained he cannot say this to which he replied “I didn’t say that” (very strange) he was clearly agitated and I later found out his shift had ran over and he was tired and irritable, the baggage Concierge “Kenny” (an absolute gem and credit to the hotel) told me “he’s a good lad Mr kirk however he shouldn’t still be here, maybe hear him out and let him apologise”, however at this point another receptionist “Micheala” had started work, I proceeded to explain the situation and she apologised profusely and began to look into the problem, during this time my original “contact” attempted to speak to me and offer apologies, I explained that he had offended me immensely rude staff 50th treat spoiled
