There no air conditioning units in this hotel. They only give you a small fan and let you crack your window for minimal air flow. They did not provide wash cloths, either.

Construction work a problem
The room was as expected, clean & tidy. The bed was soft however it was not a full size double which made it very uncomfortable to try sleep shoulder to shoulder in a very small bed. Other than that everything was fine until Saturday morning we were woken up when construction work began next to our room at 8am and didn’t stop at all, the room felt as though it was vibrating from the noise

The location was great. Very close to the underground station, nearby grocery store and economic eateries as well as a great pub. Room was big enough, remodeled with nice shower and they brought us a bar fridge upon request.

Everything was great but don’t eat at their restaurant. It was the worst food we experienced in our two week trip. It was over $60 and quite bad. The “sour dough” pizza was worse than any frozen pizza I’ve had. Again, the place was nice, just don’t order food there. There are plenty of great places you can easily walk to.

Fairly mediocre room and breakfast. The walls felt like they were made of cardboard paper and the noise of central London was unbearable. The staff was very nice though and gave me a quieter room.

They were very concerned about my diet since I have celiac disease. The head waiter had a chef come out to show me gluten free dining options at the breakfast buffet.

Jack hammer room
Our room felt like a dorm room. The room was hot and when you opened the window from the 1930’s there was constant jack hammering from 8-5. The bed was very small. Had the worst time with the lift. You would have to wait forever for it to come. Some of the outlets did not work. The bathroom had no ventilation and the overhead light was awful for doing my makeup. On the positive: Location was great. Close to a great pub and morning bakery. Only a block from the tube.
