Lovely stay at the thistle hotel Trafalgar Square
The hotel was just where we wanted near to a lot of theatres comfortable bed nice room and bathroom we had to change rooms due to the air conditioning not working but this was no trouble for the staff so helpful we had dinner in hotel restaurant it was really lovely the lady Marina could not do enough for us

Room upgraded at Check-in which we were delighted about to then be told the aircon wasnt working in that room. They had put 3 fans in the room & said if we needed anymore to just ask. We were lucky it wasn’t a really hot day so with the fans the room was an acceptable temperature. Room was very modern, clean with all facilities & a great view! Breakfast was a standard hotel buffet with a good selection of hot & cold food. Must mention Lisa on reception who was friendly, helpful, professional & seemed to generally care about her guests - a credit to the Thistle team!

Great location
We had 2 rooms, request to stay on a higher floor with less noise (travelling with an autistic child) was granted, very thankful for this as our room was indeed quiet. Other room was a few doors away and also quiet. One room was very spacious and clean with no problems at all. One was quite dated and had a broken shower, we didn't let the hotel know until we were leaving to be fair as we just used the hand held. We had a plumbing issue one night which was resolved very quickly by maintenance, staff are lovely which goes a long way. The hotel is in a great location but could do with sprucing up a bit.

Don’t stay here
I checked in at 10am and no rooms were ready which was understandable.. but I was told I would be contacted when a room was ready and I never was. When we returned to the hotel at 9:30pm I got put in a room with no AC. When I called the front desk to be moved there were no other rooms left, but I was told I could be relocated the next day and get a 70% refund for that night so I agreed to not check out and find a different hotel. Now, I’ve had hotels.com contact the hotel about that refund and I’m being told that won’t be honored. So basically the manage lied and manipulated me so I wouldn’t leave the hotel and check out that night. Not to mention the next day I was moved to ANOTHER ROOM WITHOUT AC. And THREE HOURS LATER I finally got into a room with AC, making me late to my evening plans. Literally this was the worst stay I’ve ever had in a hotel.
