I stayed here for 3 days for my birthday, and chose this hotel for the name it has and also that the room had a spa and city views. It ended up being much more like a 3 star budget hotel, very disappointing, and I didn't end up using the spa in my room because it was very old. My view looked straight out onto the apartments across from me, so I could see people lying in bed etc and the rest of the view was an alleyway with two skip bins. The fridge and microwave were also very old, and the furniture as well as the carpet need an upgrade. I wanted to leave on my first night there, but as I had paid in advance, I wasn't able to get a refund. Very disappointing experience, and very very expensive. Will not be returning.

Amazing service as always
I have stayed at the Stamford a couple of times and I enjoy the consistency. I can always count on amazing service and an easy check in. Although the hotel itself is starting to age, the rooms are kept very clean and the hotel amenities are always in good condition.

You need to be very careful here. Two of my bags were stolen from the lobby while I was checking out. Luckily I saw the woman off the street and took my bags from her at the front door. Very confronting!

Decent enough...
Stayed at the Stamford for its location and buffet breakfast and big sized rooms. The hotel is quite old, but hasn't bothered us before. Unfortunately, during this visit, there was water suddenly streaming into our kitchen/living area (presumably from someone's shower on the floor above). While the hotel staff were able to move us into another room very quickly and were very verbally very apologetic, their offer to 'let them know whatever we needed', was misleading and there was very little compensation for our poor experience. Also breakfast was disappointing compared to our prior stay a few years back. Food stations were not being replenished in a timely manner. Not sure I will come back.
