Due to some issue with the natural hot water supply for the mineral pool, it was out of action for our stay . The managing staff more than made up for that with generous offers of vouchers to the aquatic center and dinner vouchers at a fine Irish pub .. all that and chocolate fish to welcome us .. legends !

Overall our stay was very pleasant, relaxing and comfortable. The staff were quick to resolve any issues we had. We were given vouchers to substitute the maintenance of the thermal pools which we really appreciate and enjoyed. I loved that there was plenty of parking. The Unit we stayed in was modern, super clean and minimalistic. Like a breath of fresh air.

The staff were wonderful but the drive was being torn up while we were there. If it were not for that it might have been good. We were the only ones staying there the second night, first night only one other couple. Bed was comfy, bathroom updated and evenings were quiet. Staff gave helpful tips for things to do in the area.

My son and I really enjoyed our stay at The Cleveland. We were greeted with chocolate and an upgrade which made our day. Accommodation was clean and comfortable and it was great to have the pool for an end-of-day swim. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

The room had a slight odour and the thermal pool had stuff that stirred up with movement that shortened my time there. Otherwise, the bed was comfortable and the kitchen and bathroom were clean and functional.

For what we paid I expected way better from this motel. For almost $600 NZD per night I at least expected it to be clean. The shower, appliances and walls were filthy. Extremely disappointed. The best thing about this motel was the location for our activities while in Rotorua.
