I bought an overnight getaway for my parents at Warren House, to treat them to a relaxing evening as they’ve gone through a challenging time taking care of my elderly grandmother.
Their stay was very good, they really loved their room and they said the staff were extremely friendly and their room was stunning.
The breakfast was also very nice, but unfortunately I couldn’t give 5 stars as their dinner was a complete let-down.
My parents are not picky, nor do they ever have high expectations, but my mother said she ordered butter chicken as her main, and she said what was served to her could only be described as dog food in soup. She said the chicken was diced in little cubes in a very runny sauce and the rice was not cooked enough and still hard. They let the staff know and to their credit they were refunded their mains.
I just wanted this night to be perfect, so to know they didn’t have a great dining experience on the one night they could have off was a bit disheartening. Maybe this is something for management to investigate, as everything else was top tier, including the breakfast service! If a menu item is not service worthy, perhaps it’s best to take it off the menu for one night than to serve substandard food.
I would still give the hotel 4* as everything else was faultless and delivered what was promised.
