Awful service. Whenever we had any requests I had to ask for it multiple times and had to wait at least 2 hours before anything was done. The first time it was for some additional pillows as the pillows that are provided are pretty terrible. The second time it was for housekeeping as it hadn't been done when we got back to our rooms at 3:30. When we asked the housekeeping staff they said they'd get someone to do our room now but by 4:45 still nothing. I then went down to reception and was told someone would be with us in 10 mins and it was after half an hour before someone finally came. Waiting until almost 5:30 for housekeeping is far too long imo. In every other hotel i have ever been to its done by 3. Turns out we weren't the only ones. As we were checking out the person in front of me was complaining that neither he nor his family's rooms were cleaned in 3 days!
Another thing that annoyed me was that we had booked the hotel back in October as it has a pool and gym. We only found out a few days before arrival that the gym and pool area had much shorter opening times over the christmas period. Had to rearrange our other plans in order to fit it in. Just wish that we had been notified of this much earlier as it did affect our plans for the weekend.
Breakfast was very basic. Get a better range at Holiday Inns.
Definitely won't be using this hotel again if we ever do return to Bristol. Not worth the extra that we paid for it.
The hotel is in need of renovation, but is clean. Our room was ice cold (we were cold in there with our coats on) when we arrived, it took quite a while before we could heat up he room to a comfortable temperature as the start temperature was so low.
The staff are all very helpful and professional.
The breakfast is terrible. The croissants were stale, the processed cheese slices were sweaty and curled up in the corners, the scrambled eggs looked like they were cooked in a microwave. The quality of the food is poor and very processed.
Decor lovely, front of house staff super pleasant. Newly refurbed bedrooom very attracted just a shame the bathroom was filthy. Food ok but nothing special. Wouldn’t bother paying extra for breakfast as get just as good from a beefeater tbh!!!
Beds and pillows uncomfortable especially sofa bed .

Disliked: Staff & service, room comfort
Embarrassing
It was the most uncomfortable bed ever. We wanted a good nights sleep before continuing our journey, we could not sleep. I think it was an ancient bed, it felt like it was made of straw. When we complained, in the morning, we were asked what have you been up to? This was embarrassing and unnecessary.
