It is a beautiful well maintained property. The staff are awesome. Sarah at the pool bar makes you feel like family. The young man that serves at the pool bar is fantastic. He takes care of everyone. Loved staying in the old building, beautiful room overlooking the garden.

The housekeeping was wonderful, she was so attentive to our needs. When we had to book another night because of plane delays Mark was so helpful. The boys out front were so nice to us and helped with questions not pertaining to the hotel.

We stayed for two nights before flying back home from Kauai. We stayed in the Meilani tower, and our view was unbeatable. The room itself was very small for my husband, almost four year old and I but the location was convenient. We were situated by the elevators so it was quite loud.

Being a 1927 building makes it impressive. It is massive and extremely well taken care of. Gardens are gorgeous. The room was big and in great conditions. Staff is very kind. Everybody specially housekeeping always smiley and always greeting at the hallways. The resort fee benefits are poor. The fees for the chairs at the beach is extremely high considering the benefit of those and the availability. During our stay, part of the pool bar was closed, making it a terrible experience to sit next to a black makeshift fence for some odd reason. It was removed later making it A LOT BETTER.

Loved staying in this historic hotel on Waikiki Beach. The property smelled of gardenia and had a nice pink theme. Pink flower arrangements, pink pancakes, and pink robes in honor of the pink lady hotel. The pool and beach were lovely with easy beach towel access. Room was comfortable.

I had two separate reservations that I combined. The first three nights I booked with American Express and the last three nights with hotels.com. The quality of service dropped drastically when I moved into the hotels.com reservation and I even tipped housekeeping daily. The WiFi is also a joke.

Staff is amazing. Over the top polite and friendly. Property needs a deep clean and or refresh soon but still clean, just worn a bit showing her age. She’s a beauty though and our favorite place in Waikiki to stay.

The Royal Hawaiian kind of seems like it’s resting on its history. The pool is a total joke (which we were prepared for) so we spent a lot of time at the Sheraton pool when not at the beach. It was just not a complete resort experience if you are going to a different pool to play and eat by the pool. The food at the Royal Hawaiian was also very limited. The Lua’l was also very overpriced and while the performance was very good, the food service was horrible. We paid just under $200 per ticket for the children and the waiter argued with my wife and I that if we let them eat the normal food and didn’t choose the kids chicken tenders we were making a big mistake”. Overall, the grounds are beautiful, but the staff didn’t really seem to be attending to their guests (accept bell hops at the traffic circle who were great). We’d probably try to Westin or Sheraton next time.

Everything about our stay was exceptional. This resort is truly the best destination in Honolulu. The rooms were impeccably cleaned daily, and the entire property beautifully preserved its historic charm. The beach was pristine and breathtaking, just steps from our room. Whether you're visiting as a couple or with family, this is the perfect Hawaiian getaway. We can't wait to return!
