Avoid booking. We prebooked this hotel in December 2020 and on the day of our arrival I received a phone call from a member of the team explained our booking had been cancelled due to an alleged gas leak at the hotel. We were then promised an alternative at no addition cost by the hotel and that somone would advise us of the detail's. However, this did not happen. I called the hotel back who again promised someone else would be in touch within an hour. This did not happen. In the end we had to contact hotels.com for help and this was also not resolved. So would not book this hotel or use hotels.com.com again.
Turned up to hotel after paying and told that hotel had been closed for months, did not refund or offer any alternatives.
Travelled to liverpool on train so was stuck without hotle
Arrived at the hotel to find it was shut. The manager was present because there was a music gig happening at the venue and she told us that this wasn't the first time that OYO had sent people to the hotel while it was closed.
OYO have listed the wrong pictures for standard and deluxe rooms so the room we thought we booked was not what we got (mis-sold).
There’s no signs outside the hotel so it’s easy to miss.
Walls are pretty thin so you can hear when next door makes a move and the pipe work under our room was constantly on so it sounded like our toilet was running all night.
Really good location for the knowledge quarter/bold street so if the above doesn’t bother you, go ahead and book!
The first room they haves had not been cleaned! The second had no windows that opened the floor was sticky the bed was very uncomfortable! Asked about parking no one could give me any answers?? Found the whole experience very bad!
Photos are of the first room!
It was difficult to see how you got into the hotel as the doors were closed and the door was locked. When looking through the window the receptionist opened the door. It was obviously an old theatre in its day which was interesting. The twin bed room was small and difficult to move around without bumping into funiture. Although the bathroom was a good size the shower cubicle is tiny. The location was excellent however overall i do not think this hotel is good value for money and would not stay here again.
A great value for money stay in a beautiful old renovated building right in the centre of Liverpool.
The staff on check in/out were really friendly and helpful and the room , although small was perfect for our needs and very clean. The en-suite bathroom was a good size, again clean and modern and had a great shower.
Very good location..only a 5 minute walk to station and the city...

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
I don't think it is clear that this hotel is above a nightclub....earplugs are provided for guests so they obviously know that there are noise issues. We got no sleep and did not enjoy the experience
Initial reaction on arriving at the front door-“oh dear” as locked and no one around! However it all got better from then on! Enquires at Irish pub which is part of complex brought doorman who organised quick efficient check-in
Efficient lift to 2nd floor but a wrong turn took me into a massive auditorium of a 500+ seat theatre!!!
Seems the 50+ rooms have been constructed within the theatre building
My single room was small but had everything I needed including a full size wardrobe and big wall mounted TV
NB room only serviced if you leave appropriate hanger on door
Brekky served in bar - ? under theatre stage was huge and terrific ambience
The whole place is full of sculpted metal- often enamel covering
Quite an experience but not to everyone’s taste although a bit Lennonesque in nature
Thoroughly recommended for the adventurous
Awful. Charged £126 for a tiny single room. I was bitten on my ankle within 10 mins of being in the room. Ear plugs by the kettle. Credit card swipe needed “in case the room was trashed”!
Very noisy fan / extractor in the ceiling which could not be turned off meaning an awful night’s sleep.
All in all a horrible experience which I will not be repeating.
Absolutely brilliant, would recommend this hotel clean, friendly staff good food. The staff were excellent nothing was too much trouble. In a great area too central to everything. Deffo stop again 😁
Lovely hotel in a great area. The staff were lovely and welcoming and the building is beautiful.
There is the irish pub next to it which can be full of karaoke lovers but the windows of the hotel are great so you don't hear much.
The room was excellent value for money. It was pleasantly decorated and was comfortable and clean. Most staff were pleasant and helpful. It would most suit a group of friends or couples. An excellent base for going out and exploring restaurants and pubs.
