Upon arrival we were greeted and given our cards.
Room was spacious, clean and tidy, and modern.
The wine bottle in the fridge was opened already with some missing- i rang and said it wasnt us so we wouldnt be charged- no issues there.
Next we checked out the bathroom, particularly the double ended bath which was the whole reason i booked this hotel and room. The bath was large and clean with about 6 jets. BUT the tap handle was at the pillow at one end of the bath so rendering it useless, the plug kept popping up and down causing my wifes leg to get pinched- romantic night ruined.
The king bed was comfy.
TVs both wouldnt cast to mobiles despite trying android and iphones.
Heres the kicker- the aircon duct directly above the bed is not well insulated to outside, so when it rains the water falls from the high section of the building directly on the duct causing a sound like hail is on a tin roof- even though it was spitting rain outside. This caused us to be awake most of the night.
Upon checkout i politely let the front desk staff know of our concerns and we were told 'thats how its always been' and theres nothing they could do about it.
This tells me they are clearly aware of these 2 big issues!
