Junior Suite was good
Hotel very clean and staff were amazing. Some areas including the room are becoming a bit tired and in need of refreshing. We stayed in a junior suite on the top floor ,which we loved. We did not use any of the facilities so can not comment on those.

This is a lovely hotel, close enough to the centre that you can walk but far enough that it is quieter. All the staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are a good size and comfortable.

Usually great - disappointing this time!
We have stayed at a number of Malmaison hotels across the U.K. & they have always been a great experience. However on this occasion, we were asked to leave the bar area at 11pm due to a private party! This was not advised to us before this point & it was extremely disappointing that we could not finish our evening having a drink in the hotel bar. We were practically ushered out of the bar area to finish our drinks. We found this to be a very poor way to treat your loyal guests!

A pleasant room which was large and clean, Nespresso coffee and various teas available in the room, bottled water rather than use the tap. Friendly bar and restaurant staff, £19 for a Continental Breakfast was a bit steep for cereal and a pain au chocolat, and a coffee.

Not a 4 star -poor
for a 4 star hotel very poor, usually stay at raddisons, no water in rooms, very basic facilities. taps leaking and not very clean. in the morning woken by cleaners having a mothers meeting outside in the corridor followed by hovering and backing on door with the hover. complained at check out and actually pretty poor to get no acknowledgment.

Cannot fault the experience from check in, accommodations and dining service. Our expectations were well and truly exceeded. We wanted to use the wet spa but unfortunately on both occasions we tried to book (24 hours apart) there was no availability.

Good but needs maintenance
Always impressed at Malmaison hotels, unfortunately our room 435, had the noisiest AirCon ever. We could not stay the whole night as we had to leave early due to an emergency. I notified reception on our departure. Some of the decor was also showing signs of wear but overall, good hotel.
