For what we paid a nice stay, the hotel is for over 50’s so quiet, in a quiet street along with other B&B’s. there was on street parking available virtually outside of the property, not sure in the summer months this would be as easily found.
The room was large, comfy bed with tea/coffee making facilities. This B&B is in the budget range of stays so don’t expect antique furniture and you will be ok. Breakfast was adequate and cooked to order so hot when it arrived and enough for most appetites, certainly seen us through to lunch…… I only came upon one thing which I struggled with and it was the cold, the B&B is very cold. The rooms have a small heater which you press to heat the room, the only problem being is you have to press this every two hours to keep it on so that it keeps the room at a comfortable temp, the radiator in the room was off and only switched on in the morning but there was a extra duvet in the wardrobe which solved the button pressing every two hours to keep warm. It didn’t stop my husband sleeping as he could sleep anywhere but I’m a very nesh person so the cold did come between me and a good nights sleep.
But as I said we didn’t pay for 5* luxury and for what we did pay it was a nice stay to see the illuminations.
The owner was a nice guy and was friendly and professional and you got the impression he would bend over backwards to make your stay better if he could.
