NOT DISABLED FRIENDLY AT ALL!!!!
I had booked a disabled friendly room, I had even called a week ahead of my arrival to check for a disabled parking space, a disabled bathroom etc. My room was not disabled friendly, the shower was over a bath and I couldn't use it. The lift was extremely tiny for only 3 people and my wheelchair did not fit in! it was the same for other wheelchair users and scooter users. We had to dismantle our chairs and scooters and send them up in bits, it took 2 trips. There is only 1 tiny lift for this massive hotel with 4 floors, it is absolutely ridiculous. It took 21 minutes to get from 3rd floor in lift as every floor was calling for it and it was up and down. 1 lift is pathetic, 3 thin people was a squeeze. it was a farce. Our room was a sea view with balcony, there were floor tiles missing on the balcony floor, the front of the hotel lights up at night with multi coloured changing lights, the bedroom curtains are thick and block this out, but there is nothing covering the bathroom window and our bathroom door wouldn't stay shut, we had to tie the handle with our dressing gown belts to the draw handle to keep it closed or it was like trying to sleep at the Blackpool illuminations.
The breakfast room - staff are only concerned with the larger coach parties, not bothered about little bookings. You cannot get through the jungle of chairs and tables
Disabled parking bays are the same size as standard parking bays.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL
