Beautiful property & location, will definitely stay again
Peaceful, beautiful location for a relaxing break.
Lovely peaceful location, with the added extra of horses and sheep on the grounds. Hotel rooms basic but clean and hygienic. Close to Cambridge town centre around a 10min drive away as well as a local garden centre; a place to have breakfast and a local pub (5* food was amazing) called The Plough and Cotton.
Great location very quiet and room was clean, check in was a faff without the traditional reception area, however understand to keep room prices better than expected that v xxx it’s need to be reduced, I would make it more clear on the booking page as I can imagine it will frustrate more less technical minded. One big advice would be to invest in a mattress, unfortunately the one in our room was way to cheap and you could feel the 5 springs that it had!
Our room was well lit and smelled fresh. The furnishing were excellent and the outside environment beautiful. It was excellent value too. We’d definitely return.
Very reasonable price for nice ensuite rooms, very close to Cambridge city centre. They are all self check in so can be a bit difficult to find some rooms in the dark. We had a double room when I had requested a twin but I couldn’t get through on the number given for assistance. But I’m ok with the lack of staff if they continue to offer the rooms at such a reasonable price. Nice surroundings with very well marked out footpaths for walks. I would stay here again.
Lack of staff, no meet and greet on arrival. Too digital

Good location if you have a car.
Service was abrupt and the refrigerator in our room didn't work.

It was disappointing that there were no members of staff, we also tried to go to the snacks and drinks bar and there was no one there either. The room was in lovely condition but sad that there were no shower amenities.
It wasn’t particularly clean wall sconces full of dust, carpet fraying at edges, Someone tried to get in our room in the night, The shower was look warm. I suggest giving the cleaners more time to clean each room
For the price, especially in/around cambridge I thought the room was okay. The building and grounds are beautiful. I didn’t enjoy the many many messages and emails I received in advance to arrange payment and deposit payment. It’s very rare these days to have to pay a deposit. When I arrived checking in was like an orienteering exercise to find key and room. Not what you need in the dark after a long day travelling. I enjoy arriving at hotels and seeing a person at reception, it’s part of the experience for me and while I imagine the lack of service is what helps to keep the price lower, it does significantly impact the overall experience. That’s a personal preference. Location isn’t bad especially if you’re driving.
