Mediocre for a 5 star hotel
We had an okay stay. The hotel restaurant service was non-existent - they had one waiter per meal and the waiter was never attentive. We had two breakfasts there (unfortunately not many breakfast options near the hotel) and a dinner there and waited an hour for the food each time. Much of the food we ordered required zero cooking (yogurt with granola, avocado toast...). This was inconvenient especially with two small children. That said, the food tasted very good. The hotel room was nice and clean, and set up correctly when we arrived (with sofa bed open and a pack n play for our baby). However the pull-out sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable. There were only slats on part of the bed so anyone more than 3 feet tall had part of their body on slats and part basically off the bed.

I booked the stay as part of a charity challenge I was undertaking, running 550km across England. I was really disappointed about the dirty bath and then how it was dealt with when told the member of staff. They didn’t really acknowledge it and I had no further feedback
