When I arrived at the Best Western Hollywood I explained to the two men working at the reception desk that upon my arrival in the area I had my bag stolen with my ID and my credit cards and checking card all taken. It was about 9pm in the undesirable neighborhood and I was told there was no way to check into my room, which had already been paid for in full, without a cash deposit or a credit card. I did not have the amount of cash required and no cash card to withdraw money from an ATM. The men at reception were extremely rude to me. I was in a desperate situation for which they showed no care, concern, nor did the offer a solution even when I asked if the pictures I have on my phone of my ID and Credit Card would help me in this emergency. When I asked if I could use ApplePay I was met with an annoyed “No.”.After calling everyone I knew who might know someone in the area, a friend of a friend drove from Downtown LA all the way to Hollywood to bring me the cash. I was extremely upset but happy to get into my room (there was trash in the bathroom waste bin that hadn’t been removed). Meanwhile, my friend who I called for help informed me that he discovered that Best Western, has an Authorization Form that can be filled out with your ID and CC info so that you can place your deposit. They lied to me, made me cry, … they wouldn’t let me use the restroom because it’s “not a public restroom”. I have a health condition and I had to run to find somewhere to relieve myself. So upset
