This is the second time that I have stayed at the Hollywood Historic Hotel travelling from Australia to LA and it did not disappoint!! The hotel and staff are fantastic and are so welcoming throughout the whole stay. The hotel itself offers easy parking, is very clean, safe and is in a great location. I will be sure to stay here again when in LA next year!

The property and room were very clean. The in room programmable safe was a great feature. Loved the vintage elements and design, it’s a building with a lot of history that has been well maintained and cared for. Concierges were friendly and made helpful recommendations. The Edmon bar and restaurant was beautiful, tasteful and added value to our stay. We hope to visit again soon!

Good place.
Really good location, not too far from Hollywood Boulevard and if you're renting a car and don't wish to pay the $18 parking charge there's some street parking nearby. Could've used a coffee machine or even a kettle, but apart from that had a really nice time. The bar is good. The photos of historic Hollywood are awesome. The Mexican next door is really good, better to head there around 9 then the coffee shop next door as it's steep.

While the neighborhood certainly has its own charm, the charm that stood out most on our trip was the overnight desk host. He was super welcome and accommodating, giving us recommendations for things nearby while also helping us get into our room ASAP when we arrived late in the evening. On the weekend we stayed there was decently loud techno/dance music coming from across the street that the older windows didn't do a fantastic job keeping out. However, it was nothing that ear plugs couldn't fix. 🙂

The hotel and staff are great. It isnt a luxury hotel, but it has tons of character. The only issues I had were the very tiny shower, lack of convenient outlets, and the few blocks surrounding the hotel were a little dirty/sketchy. Nothing that would stop me from returning. The check-in staff were fantastic and very helpful and the price was fantastic for the value.
