Room was clean and bed was comfy, room was big. I arrived early in Manchester - they did not accommodate earlier check in. When I went back at 3pm to check-in, the staff is pretty slow and inefficient. There should be a line for already booked guests and a line for walk-in booking guests. Due to this bottle neck, it took 1 hour to check in until I am in my room. Hotel is centrally located close to food and shopping and Chinatown. It’s also close to bus station. I was able to leave luggage for storage until my trip on the evening. Overall, this was an average stay. There are plenty of better hotels and stays in my opinion where staff could be more accommodating and more efficient.

Checked in and went to my room. Turned the shower on, but the controls didn't work properly. The water was absolutely scalding hot and couldn't be changed. Went back to reception and spoke to someone on the desk. He said "we have more than 400 rooms and are sold out. If every room is using the shower at the same time, it will affect how much hot water you have. Just let it run for a few minutes and it will change." Someone from maintenance came to have a look and recommended me moving to a different room. I moved rooms, and this one had loads of sockets and switches that didn't work. The main light switch wasn't actually connected to a light, the lamp on the table didn't work and the sockets behind the table didn't work either. Thankfully I had a lamp on the bedside table that worked.

Great cheap option for a hotel in the city centre. Perfect setting and drinks were very affordable. Rooms are very loud at night due to it's setting which is unavoidable but maybe some double glazing or draft excluding on windows may help with this
