I can't say I'll be in a rush to stay here again. Between:
- The RFID tag in the room card failed on me 3 times in the space of 24 hours
- Being told I had a room with a window, only to find it was this pathetic excuse for a window and equally terrible view
- The staff being apathetic.
- The other people staying on the Saturday night do not understand that shouting at each other gone 2 am is not acceptable, and neither is talking as though you're on a busy high street at 4 am
- The bed being about as comfy as a hostel bed
- There is no number to call for any issues that might come up, and instead, an OUTDATED note about using the phone in the room (when there is no phone in the room) telling me to press 0 to get through to reception
- Not being told on this website about the Manchester hotel tax?? Thankfully it wasn't much but still, undisclosed pricing is really shady. Especially when its a tax.
All in all, it's made me not want to stay at the Britannia or use this site again. I paid a not small amount to get 6 hours of sleep between Friday and Sunday morning, I don't feel I got a fair deal here.
