Good value hotel tell with comfy beds

It has a very good check-in process that allows you to do this electronically before you arrive. However, there is only a one-person check-in desk where you collect your key, and if there is a queue, it somewhat negates the benefit of pre-check-in. The room was spacious, the bed was nice and comfortable, and the bathroom was clean, with a great rainfall shower.

Looks ok, but air conditioning so loud it’s impossible to sleep, toilets being flushed in other rooms sounds like there is a water leak in your room. So not a great stay for us, did report at reception & promised an email from the manager never arrived but why would it once they’ve had your money?!

Had a lovely stay at The Allan. Breakfast was excellent and well worth the £10 paid in advance. Great location, would definitely stay again if we are down in Manchester again.

Highly recommended for a city break in comfort

This was out second stay at The Alan. We were looking forward to returning and it was even better than we remembered. The stay are very friendly and helpful, the room is very comfortable (especially the huge bed!) and the hotel is in an excellent location for walking to bars, restaurants, museums and shops. We would recommend The Alan to anyone looking for a relaxed few days in Manchester
