Great situation
The Leonardo is ideally placed for food, plenty of restuarants close by. Ideal for transport links around city. Service very good. Hotel in general was clean but our room the cups were stained and drip marks on bedside tables and dressing table.

We found as vegetarians the dining and lunch menu, being the same, showed very little for us. On several nights we resorted to a selection of side dishes, or soup which was the same every night. On most occasions, an item ordered was not available, even such a basic as vanilla ice cream. The service was sometimes slow in that there was a long wait between ordering and receiving food.Maybe most people don't stay more than a week so choice isnt an issue, but we were there for family reasons and stayed 12 nights. Cant fault the staff, they were lovely. Special mentions to Beth on reception and Becky , breakfast supervisor who did their utmost to help and offered kind words and showed interest in us during our stay. The evening bar staff were friendly too thanks Jack and George. Would we stay there again, yes we would.

The staff here are the real assets - especially at reception and the bar area. Room has a nice bed but no bar fridge which is inconvenient. The Binks Yard venue across the road had some dance rave type event one evening which made ear plugs essential.

I’ve stayed at this hotel before in March this year and had a good experience then. Unfortunately this time the hotel was full with teams of Touch Rugby Players in Nottingham for a tournament. This meant everywhere was busy and there was a fair amount of corridor noise as players went from room to room socialising with team mates in the evenings. One morning I was awoken early by doors being knocked along the corridor, I’m guessing to wake people up for an early game. Although not required I had room service each day, which I was happy to accommodate. However on one day (out of 5) they didn’t turn up so my room was left as I had vacated it. The other gripe for this particular week was that the price of the room was approximately 2.5 times higher than my previous stay (other hotels in the city had also increased prices by same amount for the week). I understand why this is he case but it doesn’t reflect the quality of my stay. Overall, a comfortable hotel in a good location near the rail station and city centre but let down by being too busy and overpriced for the quality of my week’s stay.
