Conveniently placed amenities.
Breakfast choices.
Use of kitchen .
Easy check in / out instructions.
Overall welcoming - a pleasant enjoyable stay.
Would like to return soon.
There is only one toilet for, what seemed, a potential of 20 people. The toilet was on a different floor from my room and difficult to get to. On this occasion the light in the toilet was not functioning. Grossly overpriced
Be ready to skate the restroom with all consequences..... upstairs bedrooms using ground level restroom. At least toilet is split from the shower. location is not bad
Loved that there was biscuits and tea / coffee available in the kitchen. Many shops and restaurants in walking distance
Uniqueness I would have to say the snails in the bathroom
Overall good experience
Thank u for having us
A little disappointed, although I knew it was a shared bathroom I didn’t expect it to be down stairs.
The resident next door to me decided to sleep with her room door open and the tv on.
Not wanting this for a second night I left a day earlier than planned and checked into somewhere more suitable for a good nights sleep.
I meam I was rather surprised when i found out it was a house but what was even worse was the fact that i had to share with other people. I was definitely not happy when i found out a out the fact that the toilet is shared. It may be alright if you go as a group however if you are by yourself very careful and do not choose this property especially if your a woman. As it not that safe on my opinon as compared to a normal hotel where you are seperate from everyone else. Another gripe is that the Wifi didnt work so i had to resort to use mobile data. There is so someone else living there in the garden as some sort of caretaker a other reason to proceed with caution. Also the breakfast is a bowl of cereal which does nothing so i skipped it. Genuinely should not be considered a bed and breakfast hotel.
We were messaged a few days before our stay confirming our booking and we were supplied with check in instructions which were clear. So this was a good start.
However, at this point I wanted to confirm the sleeping arrangements, as we booked a queen bed room which sleeps 3 (2 adults and a child)
I asked if there was a pull out bed for my son, but instead was told the room only has the one DOUBLE bed with nothing extra. So not sure how you can say it sleeps 3?!
There was a lot of door banging during the night and early hours which woke us several times. The bed sheets and pillows were also very worn and definitely needed renewing. Under the bed was dirty and clearly hadn't been cleaned. There were bits of food and empty packaging.
There were a few touches which was nice, biscuits on our towels on the bed and decorative plant pots and ornaments.
We understood it was a fairly cheap place compared to others we looked at and it was a shared bathroom, but something we would not book again. We would not recommend this lodge and definitely not with children.
The room was warm. However I am very disappointed. On the last day I was falsely accused of burning a bedspread. I did not iron anything and I do not smoke. I do not know how my sleeping could have burnt the bedspread.

Disliked: Staff & service
Never got in the property Male contact on phone was rude unprofessional and disinterested. After trying for an hour to ‘check in online’. I left and found another hotel. A great idea if your internet is working. Away from home it’s not reliable. Travel from bham last min and expected a hotel sign or something. It was a house. Very disappointed. Very.
could not find the hotel its really a house with no keeper had to phone the owner to let us in then no room ready ask to leave our suitcases while finding a place to eat. this cost us another 10pounds. the bathroom shared with all rooms we were on the upper floor making it hard for 70 year olds to go up and down to bathroom. the included breakfast was a terrible choice of stale cereals.
be carefullof the 60pound down for damage. still waiting for my 50 pound rebate. not recommemded
