Hotel is dated, with creaky, uneven floors. The lower half of the pull-cord for bathroom light in my room was very dirty, so I had to stretch up to use the cleaner part higher up. It made me nauseas to think what the brown staining on it might be... The toilet seat does not fit the toilet properly. Two of the four pillows on the bed were very lumpy and unusable. The room was fairly clean, though the furniture was dated and had scratched paint on surfaces. The lift is an old type with two heavy metal doors you have to slide shut for the lift to work. This resulted in numerous bruises on my hands. However, I was grateful there was a lift, as some rooms are only accessible via a complicated warren of stairs. The bar had inadequate seating for the number of rooms/guests and I was told it closed at 10pm, though I think they did stay open later if there were guests in there.
The reception staff were polite and helpful. I cannot judge any other services because I did not use the restaurant.
