Check-in gave a poor first impression. Receptionist clearly didn't know what she was doing and even though I had paid in full when booked, tried to charge me again for my stay. No apology for the error. Also, disappointing that when I contacted the hotel to let them know it was my partners birthday, they we unable to offer anything extra.

The breakfast wasn’t free. It was £20 per person The parking wasn’t free it was £15 We ended up eating in the hotel restaurant due to a mix up with a booking elsewhere The menu was very fancy and contained a lot of game. My husband is a vegetarian. They had two option for him so he had bass. The sparkling water was £15 a bottle Very expensive

Fabulous!!! Great hotel!! Staff were so friendly and helpful!!! Room was too adorable!! Bed very comfy!! It had a mini fridge!!! Location was awesome!! All the extras with the hotel were terrific!! We loved the Woodsman!! Would happily stay there again and will highly recommend!!

Room and bathroom spacious and comfortable. Staff wonderful, restaurants, bars and lounges were plentiful and we loved the authentic timber construction and decor throughout the old areas of the hotel. Our only “complaint” was the overwhelming aromatherapy in the lobby, but it was Christmas-time so… to be expected? Overall a perfect location for visiting River Avon and historic Stratford.
