The room was clean and so was the property. Pretty unique. I didn't like that there was no staff at the desk after 6. Thankfully, I was able to get inside and not be out in the cold while trying to get a key. I had notified the hotel that I would likely check in after 6 p.m. and didn't get a message as to how I could get in. Thankfully, a resident on staff was on his way out when he noticed me panicking. He then found my keys in the after hours check in lock box. The key cards didn't work and he had to let me in with his key fob. Basically if I left my room, I couldn't get back in again. I didn't need to leave so that wasn't a worry but really, the whole after hours check in left a lot to be desired. So beware.
Small sinks really aren't practical even in a small bathroom. Would like a small shelf to put things on in bathroom. Very difficult finding street parking. Loved the place itself; architecture and history of the building. Exceptional service from reception staff.

Lovely historic hotel which has been renovated sympathetically. The room was lovely with attractive decor. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Coffee pods and good quality tea available. Would have no hesitation recommending to others
Was a short stay but enjoyable . Room was comfortable and clean and staff at check in was fantastic. Only points to note are bathroom was really tiny… and my room was near entry so was a bit noisy as people came in later at night. Would still stay again as it’s a great location.
Thin walls, gaps in doors, super super light when trying to sleep because of the gaps and makes you feel like there is zero privacy between your room and the hallway (you can hear whispering when people walk past, a whisper!)
The property is great. The renovations under my room starting at 7am WST (when I had concussion) were pure torture. The drunk moron calling out “Nicky!!” To all hours waking me up over and over the very next night not great. The checking process is appalling. Management systems are clueless. The building us great but you got to get pretty lucky with parking. Have lived and lived in the area for thirty years - it’s still fabulous.
