convenient location and comfy bed and pillows.
Except for a couple of nights we couldn't sleep because of a disrespectful person towards the hostel's rules, I enjoyed my stay and I would recommend it to those who want to save some money and be in town centre too.
The hostel is very small. Some beds are facing toilet and shower room direcrly. The shower is not clean. No shampoo, shower gel, toothbrush, toothpaste nor towel is available.
The Hostel is conveniently located next to Shimbashi station and Ginza. Really clean place, the only down side is noise level at times so to have a good sleep, a earplug is definitely recommended.
The accommodations were as advertised-- basically a capsule hotel with book shelves. Nothing uncomfortable about them and the place was quiet. The nightly price advertised outside was about 1000 yen cheaper than what I paid through the Hotels.com website and there was a separate charge for towels and toiletries. Probably a better deal for Japanese speakers who make reservations through an alternate channel.
I loved my stay here! One of the things I wanted to do in Japan was stay in a bookshop and this was awesome! The place was nice and warm and cosy. I thought it would feel small, staying in the little rooms but I loved it! Didn't feel small at all! Felt very secure here as the door was locked with a pin code and there was always someone at the desk. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and really made the place feel so warm and cosy. Would definitely recommend a stay here!
There is no privacy, people that works there are always 3m away of your room. They've been talking together all the time I was there, they put classical music so it's never quiet + HAIR DRYER IN THE MORNING big no no. The bathrooms are practically in the same room as the beds. From far the worst and most awkward hostel experience. For the prics, get something else.

Book Lovers' Hostel near Ginza
Great location in Tokyo. Was a bit surprised that there was construction work being done in the hostel when I checked in at 5:00 p.m. but it was finished by 6:00 p.m. Fine as a place to just sleep but woken up by the sound of building cleaners & staff around 7:00 a.m. Don't plan to sleep in, although they do provide complimentary ear plugs if that helps any. It was still a bit stuffy and the curtained bunks can be a bit suffocating as there is no fan for the bunk space. The air conditioning of the small common areas was adequate.

Close to shopping and transportation.
At walking distance to Mitsushoki department store, popular toy store and Tokyo's "Rodeo Drive."
Really cool idea but I did not enjoy the space. After realising that what looked like a towel was actually intended to be my blanket, I was told that towels and toiletries could be rented but were not included in the cost of the room. No lockers available for luggage security and it felt quite stuffy so I don't know if there was air conditioning either. Mattress cover was not in good condition and pillow was stained. So I ended up staying at a friend's place instead! The staff were friendly however and the bathrooms were clean and modern. Acceptable for a hostel, but disappointing as an experience.
The staffs are really kind. Especially the owner, he made sure that our stay was the most comfortable. The place is really cozy. Not spacious, but the atmosphere is cozy. We stayed for 4 nights, moved to another place, but decided to go back to extend our stay there. We went on a group of 3 but this place is most perfect for solo travelers - especially those with not so many luggage. Would really love to go back to chill in the capsules and read the many choice of books.
Staff very welcoming, spoke good English. No issues with dropping off luggage early or arriving late NYE. Cosy little capsule hotel just a few minutes from Asakusa Station, would recommend.
Location is excellent. But the space is very narrow entire hostel. Also if you didn't speak Japanese, you seems don't get any service from night shift staff. You will have to check in before 22:00 otherwise they won't wait and I was rushing from airport due to airplane delay. After I check in they only told me which bed number and where to put luggage. Next guest check in is a Japanese girl and staff introduce her the entire area including where is toilet and shower. I have to peeping on them from my jail cell size bed to know where is toilet. Not recommend if you dont speak Japanese.
