The breakfast was lovely and the room did not disappoint, the couple who owned the B&B were so friendly and helpful in fact they went above and behond. I would recommend staying there.
The Palms is excellent, We had an enjoyable time. The breakfast was perfect the room was just what we wanted and the proprietors Graham and Judith are lovely people they made us feel very welcome. The shops and the Harbour are only a couple minutes away.
We will definitely be booking again.
Great hotel with great staff who would do anything to help and are very welcoming. The hotel is close to the town centre and other facilities and when we are back in the area we will be staying there again. It was a bit of a shame the bar was shut in the hotel due to guests not using it. I normally find that a hotel bar is a good place to find out about the local area and the best places to visit as people tend to relax and open up a bit. I recommend anybody to go here. You won't be disappointed.
We had a lovely stay. The breakfast was excellent. The room had everything we needed or would expect in a hotel. The welcome was extremely warm and it was not far from the seafront
Very well located b&b just up from main town centre. Car parking provided which is a bonus. The hotel itself looks dated but the rooms are fairly modernised with good ensuite and a dressing table which my girlfriend loved. Breakfast is good and the staff are very friendly too.
This hotel has the personal touch of a guest house, and nothing was too much trouble for the owners. Our room was spacious and clean, and the bed was extremely comfy. The location was great with just 2 minutes to walk downhill to Torquay centre. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely visit again.
When I booked I wasn't expecting much from this small hotel/B&B - the pictures certainly do not show a true representation of the hotel. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by the owners, who checked us in and showed us to our room. The room was bright with laminate flooring and all you could want. Plenty of Tea, Coffee and Biscuits were available and the beds were nicely presented. The overall cleanliness of the room was fantastic. Bathroom a little small but did the job. If you need a room, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place. Thank you! :)

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
very nearly very good
The room looked great when we first arrived and the bed was comfortable. The room was not enormous but certainly large enough. There wasn't any hot water when we arrived but the electric power showed worked fine and there was hot water by the morning so that wasn't a particular problem. Unfortunately the room was to the front of the building, overlooking a main road where drunk people walked up after nightclub-chucking-out-time, shouting at each other; as the room was only single-glazed, attempts at sleep were frequently interrupted.
Breakfast was generally OK if a little meagre, but how on earth do you get scrambled egg wrong?
If you don't mind the noise and plan on having only cereal for breakfast, then we would recommend it!
this hotel is much better than our expectation. it is in a good location and very convient. room is small but cosy. it a bit noise in the night due to it is on a busy road.
The hotel was ideally located close to the harbour and shops, the rooms were comfortable and of a nice size. There are only 2 car park spaces at the hotel but there is ample car park space a couple of hundred yards away of which a refundable £10 deposit is required. The breakfast was ok if a bit dry but overall the hotel was more than adequate.
