Lifts were very good staff on the whole excellent although not having our room service till we ask at 4.30 pm why it wasn’t done then they only changed the towels with a bit of a giggle let the hotel down also not being told till we arrived that parking was in a ncp car park down the road !!!!

This hotel is a regular stay for us. It's always a good stay and is in a great spot for exploring the City. My only gripe is that Hilton continue to embarrass themselves by reducing the plate sizes at breakfast and limiting the amount of coffee that is poured from the machines into the reduced size cups. I get that it's a buffet breakfast and as such, you can simply return to the buffet (and coffee machine queues) with your (barely bigger than a) side plate and baby cup.....but that really isn't the point. I'm an adult....I would like adult sized servings. Are there any adults within Hilton management who can reverse these childish decisions?

Situated very close to the city centre, parking 5 minutes away and discounted, room was nice comfortable and clean, we were happy with hotel and would revisit it the future.

Room was a good size, clean and nicely decorated. Only thing was, we were in the basement, so the view was a solid brick wall about 1m away from the window. There were a few niggles. We didn't get much sleep due to the noise from the heating and other plumbing noises from the rooms above us. There was no heated towel rail and no shaving mirror in the bathroom, and the shower temperature needs looking at as even the coolest setting was really hot.

Really good stay , the staff are all excellent. They were happy to help all the time . Breakfast choice was outstanding. Something for everyone . Only issues I have is paying for parking and there was no blackout blind , so you felt the office block next door could see in at night if you had the light on .

Excellent hotel
Genuinely so impressed with this hotel. A few minutes walk from the train station, in a great location for shops and cafes. The staff were lovely and helpful, rooms spacious, beds comfortable and very clean. Amenities were great. We were on the 3rd floor, very quiet for a Saturday night. We had some delicious mulled wine after a full day/night out which topped our evening off nicely. I was pleasantly surprised by breakfast, so much choice, my friend had the full English which she said was perfect, as a vegetarian I chose crumpets, greek yogurt with granola and fruit and some croissants, I could have had pancakes or waffles too, so much good quality choice. Checkout was flawless, we left our bags and went for another shop before heading to the trainstation. All round great stay.
