Perfect hotel for an overnight stay on a budget

Myself and a friend were in Bath for one night as part of a golf trip. Staff were friendly and helpful at check in. Had a nice cold pint on tap before heading up to our twin room for a very hot shower and then heading out for a night out in Bath. The room including the bedding and bathroom were exceptionally clean. The beds and pillows perfect. I think the mattress may be more comfortable than my own. We were going to get breakfast but it was exceptionally busy at 9am so chose not to. The staff had warned us to be early if we wanted breakfast. We were lucky to get a parking space. A little frustrating to have to pay £17.50 but I do appreciate why (Bath is a small city set in and around a valley). At check in staff explained how to get the discount on the machine in the lobby. The hotel send you a list of alternate parking if you can’t park at the hotel. This was a cracking hotel and did basics of what a hotel should do brilliantly. Will definitely use again if I’m in Bath again.

Perfect for short stays and conveniently located for walks into the city centre as well as to drive out into the countryside. Parking charges at £17.50 / 24 hours is steep for families and will force to cut down on eating out or shopping opportunities. All in all it’s an excellent hotel with friendly and smiling staff. Thank you for providing us with a memorable experience.

Room was filthy

The room was dirty. The carpet had all.marks over it and the bathroom was dirty. The skirting boards where dirty. Breakfast was good not loads to choose from but enough.

Nice hotel. Helpful staff, however a little busy. Parking was tough and had to street park first night. Breakfast was a bit basic and takes a long time when busy. Would stay again. Nice Indian restaurant next door with 10% discount for hotel guests

Facilities Excellent for budget hotel. Although a mile from city centre there are frequent buses from the rail/bus station (Nos 1, 5, U1) stopping within 200 m of the hotel. The Mint Room, straight across the road from the hotel offers, in my experience, some of the finest Indial uisine in Europe. Not cheap but excellent value for money, with superb service,

A good choice for a wheelchair user

The room was comfortable and suitable for a wheelchair user. There was a bit of a nuisance that there weren't sockets on both sides of the bed. The lift was a bit small. The food is basic but reasonable. Overall a good choice
