I enjoyed my stay at De Vere. Potts Point is a fun and calm area of Sydney. You are also less than 2 Miles away from Sydney Opera house and several well known attractions.

Reasonable for the price. Staff were helpful and polite. Good location, lots of shops nearby and an easy walk to King’s Cross train station. I don’t think the room had been vacuumed or the shower cleaned very well, but the bedding was clean and the room was acceptable for the price.

The staff are wonderful however the hotel itself is a severe disappointment. It's very clearly run down and does not match the pictures online. Our room had mold throughout it which we didn't realize until the end of our 3 night stay and a dead cockroach. The beds are cheap and likely haven't been replaced since original installation. It's such a shame as it's in a nice location. Not worth the price although it's a more affordable option than the hotels in the area. I would truly suggest to stay away and instead look at renting an apartment in the area. I do not believe it's safe to stay here especially for kids, or anyone with respiratory or underlying health conditions.

Relatively clean, a little rundown and old, mould in the bathroom, bed was a little hard but you get what you pay for. Staff were friendly enough and accomodating and felt safe. Quiet other than the aircon being a little loud for sleeping. Great location though.

The area is a little bit sleazy, the bathroom was a little bit dirty. The view from the bedroom & bathroom was spectacular. The staff were amazing, they went out of their way to be helful. The hotel is old, the curtains were torn. But the price was the best we could get. Not knowing Sydney at all made getting backwards & forwards to Prince of Wales hospital in Randwick very expensive on a daily basis using taxis, it would have been good to be able to use buses or rail but didn't know how to access them & with limited mobility issues De Vere was the best we could find that had availability! Websites were not very helfull!

I know it’s an old building but renting out horrid rooms beside a noisy lift shaft , looking into a building light well wasn’t what the photos Wotif showed. I couldn’t wait for sunrise so I could leave. I won’t book this way again . I’ll go direct to the hotel.
