Compare Family Hotels in The Lakes

Very Luxurious facility, wide hallways, large and open with 3 story ceilings in places. Our 66th floor bedroom suite had a wet bar and 2 full baths. The design opened the strip view with windows about 30 feet wide. There was a small table and chairs along the window side to enhance the view. We felt that the hotel lacked the relaxed atmosphere common in Vegas. It excells in Luxury but at the expense of having an open restaurant for a quick sitdown breakfast or lunch. There are bagels, burgers and pizza on the inconvenient 2nd floor food court. The Casino level also had a few odd food choices but restaurants are upscale, didn't find casua for when you don't want to dress up. IMO, this Hotel will appeal to some but not to the average Vegas visitor that they need to help fill occupany. The Valet Parking is at extra cost, maybe necessary because of the number of rooms.

We were impressed with the rooms for the price. Holiday inn vibes, clean, and walkable. Restaurant options suck though

It was a good stay. Few things though it would be great if they could put a coffee machine in the rooms. I totally understand they're trying to make money but when you pay $13 for two large Starbucks strip coffees that is a bit much also we wanted to get tickets to see a show at another one of the MGM properties, when I went to the desk, they gave me the prices and then told me there was a 30% Cirque du Soleil tax now I have never heard of that before and as someone who has been working in the arts for the past 40 years, this was something brand new to me so we didn't buy the tickets went to the property where the show was going on and got the tickets $30 cheaper. I do have to say I think this is a total scam and something that the hotel should be ashamed of, others who may be don't work in the arts would think that that was just a normal tax, but it is not. I do hope that the management of the MGM will take consideration and stop this sort of scamming.
