Hot and tired in Henderson
I really struggled with this review. The ONLY reason I went with an overall 4 stars is for the simple fact that the staff was super nice and the outside of the hotel was amazing and beautiful. My boyfriend and I came for just an overnight stay, with another couple, for an Indoor football game. First, when we arrived, we noticed an almost moldy smell.We believed it was because of the lake. We arrived early, due to the game starting at 1:00, and they were able to check us in at 10:00am. We went to the game and, when we arrived back, that’s when we noticed that our room was super hot and would not cool down. Our refrigerator smelled of marajuana that, when we opened it, stunk up the whole room. The bathtub would not drain when we filled it up to stick our feet in to try to cool off. When we called the front desk, they were aware of the problems with the air and moved us down to the main floor. Our friends were also having the same issues. When we arrived at the new room, at 11:30 at night, the air was a little better, but not by much. We just dealt with it since we were leaving in the morning.Before checking out I explained my frustrations with the front desk and was offered a refund. They definitely understood the issues and made it right. They sympathized with us and I understood that they are employees and can’t control most of the issues we were having.That is why they got the rating they did; for the Amazing staff. I would give them a second try but only in the winter time.

Hotel is beautiful
Hotel is very beautiful, but pool closes at 7, which is when you could actually go into it without burning and suffocating in the heat. So not very family friendly in that sense. And the bed was not comfortable, was sunk in the middle and couldnt stay on your own side.

Unfortunately the hotel had some horrible misadventures from overbooked, to broken airconditioning, and very angry guest. Even if a room had been found who would want to chance it staying there and surviving the heat.

Bad Staycation.
My King suite was in a corner on the bridge wing and barely had a "Lake View". It was extremely hot even though I turned the thermostat down to 40 in both the bedroom and living suite. I and other guest went to the receptionist desk to speak to them regarding the temperature and they informed us that it's harder to cool that wing of the hotel. Why have it, charge more, and provide less then? They were kind enough to switch me into a different room that was slightly cooler, but inferior to the original in size and overall quality. I was so uncomfortable sleeping that I left the room the following morning around 6 a.m. This was supposed to be a simple overnight staycation. I should have stayed home instead

I had my daughter birthday there. At the pool not enough umbrellas. Kids got burned.the room smells old furniture. Staff is completely not helpfull. Also got charged for wii......i its incllded on hotels.com. we didn’t use it.

Air conditioning in rooms was not that strong and couldn't get below low to mid 70s. Was hot in the room the whole time. Towel service and food and drink service at the pool was minimal. Had to order food inside a shack with frequent credit card processing problems and there were often no pool towels because families would grab a dozen and leave then on the chairs and they sat there all day not picked up by staff. Food by the pool was pretty decent though.

Arrived at 2:30pm to check-in early (requested the day before) room wasn't ready. Stored luggage with bell staff and headed off for a show. Came back around 11:30-12:00 and they said they overbooked so we didn't have a aoom anymore. After 1.5hrs they found us a room. Went up to the room at 1am and the manager and a worker were in the room getting it ready. So at 1am finally in the room and went to have a shower only to find there was no shower gel. Overall experience was terrible. The mattress was terrible. Room cleanliness wasn't great either. The lobby looks fantastic the rooms terrible. Don't waste your time staying here.

I would not waste money on this resort. The front desk didn't have any guidance for day trips or tickets to shows. The room had no hot water, it wasn't just us or a limited amount..there wasn't any. Room service was never delivered, when called to ask where it was; I was told she never saw it and I placed it the night before on the card. The following day I didn't fill the card out thinking that maybe I should just call. Well do not do that because they don't answer. I then called guest services and asked if our phone wasn't working or if they could transfer me and explained I was trying to reach them to place an order for the last hour and he did transfer me but still no answer. So we just went out for breakfast. This wasn't a busy weekend, it was during the week and there weren't a lot of guests. Staffing didn't seem short and I am not one to complain. I just want others to know how disappointing our stay was.

We had a baseball tournament in Henderson so decided to stay here vs. the strip. The property is very nice! In a good way, it reminded us of the movie The Shining. Good bones, beautiful decor, lots of carpeting but it was clean. We arrived on the 4th of July & as expected, it was packed. The pool was too packed for our liking so we were going to go back later in the evening. Unfortunately the pool closes at 6! It was in the 115’s all weekend and to not have access to the pool after dinner was a huge bummer for our family. We were here for five days & after watching baseball all day, we were looking forward to hanging out at the pool. We left a day early to stay at a hotel on the strip that had later pool hours. Overall, it was just ok for us.
