The showers were very spacious and newly remodeled. It made me feel like I was staying at a five-star hotel with the better updated shower features. Space was small but the beds were very comfortable. Wish I knew how to worked the temperature in the room better as it was too hot until we open the windows. They have a friendly cat that greets people and that was a nice sweet perk.
The rooms were clean and comfy but small. However, our stay was great in every way because of the incredible hospitality of the owners. We enjoyed our time there immensely!
The Room was very clean, comfortable and in keeping with the area. The Staff were very friendly and helpful. Definitely stay there again.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort
I really enjoyed my stay at the Sugarloaf Mountain Motel. The staff was welcoming and kind. It was well located on the Main Street of Virginia City, but far enough away from the main tourist area as to be quiet. It has a certain kind of funky charm that Iike. It was comfortable enough though sadly the window wouldn't open - due to the AC unit - and so it got as little stuffy. The fresher the air the better.
It is a sweet hotel, small but nice. It does need more light by the bed as I like to read at night. You’ll have to wait if you’re a coffee drinker until 8am.
Very cute motel. The owners did a really good job of capturing the period feel of a 1940's or 50's motor hotel while still providing modern comfort. Makes it a fun stay, while most all other vintage motels have become sterile or gross. Space is tight and the bathrooms are tiny, but that's the way it was once upon a time. The office is a well stocked little grocery store with a cute cat hanging around. Owners were very nice.
