The carpet in the room at the entrance had a big stain, the shower curtains were not the right height to prevent water from going to the bathroom, the fan in the bathroom had rust. Light was too bright, didn't have an option of a soft dim light. The shower was not properly cleaned, it still had hair from the previous guest. We could hear dogs barking from another room. Overall it gave us a feeling of a dirty room. Pros: Breakfast was good, bed was comfortable.

The room and hotel was clean and overall the staff were friendly and courteous. However, there was a "nickel-and-diming" feel with regards to early check-in. I had completed a long drive and arrived less than an hour before the 3pm check-in. Other Best Western properties I had stayed at did not charge for a check-in within an hour of official check-in. This one wanted to, but I declined and just waited until 3pm. The hotel was not even close to full-capacity, so not sure that it was worth the hit to their reputation. Not a big deal, but it did taint my experience with this hotel.
