Beachy condo with garden and ocean views

Papakea H206 is a nicely appointed 2-bedroom, 2-bath condo that can accommodate up to 6 guests. Situated on the 2nd floor, you'll enjoy the views, spacious bedrooms and the fully stocked kitchen. It has one window A/C in the living area and gorgeous ocean and garden views. The ceramic tile and Canadian Maple Laminate floorings give the unit an airy and beachy feel. Take advantage of our laid back yet elegant condo that also includes a full suite of kitchen appliances, washer, and dryer, ceiling fans, air conditioning (living room only), free WiFi, Bluetooth enabled speaker and TVs in the living room and master bedroom. Enjoy a huge California King size bed in the master bedroom and the second bedroom features a Queen size bed. For two more guests, there is a pull-out couch in the main living area with a very comfortable 6” thick Queen size mattress.
This unit also supplies a portable crib for families that are bringing along their infant for their paradise family getaway. If you like to play we have all the toys including putters and golf balls, board games, and more. There is a wonderful sandy beach walking distance from the condo. Beach sand levels can vary based on the conditions.

*** Notice of Property Plumbing Project:
- Papakea Resort is performing a property-wide extensive plumbing project and you may hear some noise during this time. Work in this unit will begin October 14, 2025, with an estimated completion for this unit projected on or around November 17th, 2025.
- Standard work hours for this project will be from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday unless authorized for weekend work.
- Contractors will be present on the property to begin quieter preparatory tasks as early as 7:00 AM.
- To minimize possible disruption, louder tasks will not start before 10:00 AM.
- Dates are subject to change. Not all units will be affected at the same time.

Papakea Resort offers lush tropical landscaping, koi lagoon ponds, oceanfront saltwater pools, hot tubs, shuffleboards, golf greens, pickleball, and tennis courts! It is located just North of the famous Ka'anapali Beach. Walk to nearby local shops, cafes, restaurants, and grocery stores. It is a quick drive to Whalers Village and many of Maui's top beaches like Kaanapali, Napili Bay, and Kapalua Bay.

Papakea Resort

Amazing property and great amenities. We enjoyed the pool, access to the beach, putting green and shuffle board. We also enjoyed the view of the ocean and all the whales. The only issue we had with our stay was the beds. If you are accustomed to sleeping on a firm mattress you will have no issues. These beds are the most firm mattresses we have ever slept on. This was the only issue with our stay. The condo is well equipped and the views are incredible. We went back through the reviews and no one else mentioned the firmness of the beds. So it may get be just our opinion. The staff at this condo are amazing and helpful. Overall it was an amazing stay and we will definitely want to go back to this condo if we go back.

Great resort and great Condo. It was a little warm in the unit as it had a direct view of the afternoon sun and the ac was a bit inadequate. I had to conduct maintenance on the ac unit. The filter was dirty and it’s much too small of an ac for that unit. My Perfect Stays was very accommodating and addressed our few issues satisfactorily. My only suggestion would be to add blinds in the master bedroom similar to the living are to help keep the room cooler. Otherwise it was a great stay and a very clean unit!

A slice of Paradise

We went as a family and had a wonderful stay. The condo is very well equipped. The beds were great. They had a few beach toys to play with. It was very helpful having a washer and dryer in the unit. The people who work the desk at the resort were so kind and helpful. On our way there our luggage did not arrive in Hawaii with us. The airline dropped it off at a different resort (I had air tags in the luggage and could see where it was) The resort staff drove me around until someone "found" our luggage at the other resort. The Ocean view was spectacular. Sunsets were phenomenal. We loved being able to listen to the ocean waves at night. We lost power one night so it was really dark and the sounds of the waves were so relaxing. They are located across the street from a little grocery store and just down the road from some great food trucks. I just wished someone would have told us about the cinnamon roll store in front of the resort sooner. (Be there early) My two complaints is are silly ones. I just wished it had something to wipe the floors down with besides a broom. The other one is I wish the cleaning people would check the sink traps. They were full of hair and the sinks would not drain. Overall this trip and condo was amazing and we would return there in a heart beat.

Great condo for a family

Overall this condo was a great stay for our family. I rated it 4/5 stars mainly due to the poor communication with the property management company. I called and emailed multiple times during a weekend to no avail. Finally I had to choose the emergency option on their phone tree to get ahold of someone. Other than that, I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean and fun development to spend your vacation at. We did the free yoga one morning which was fun. We also utilized the pool and hot tub several days/nights and it was amazing. The grounds are spotless and workers are around always cleaning so you know a lot goes into this place. Our unit had everything we needed to spend just over a week there. Great location next to food truck park and grocery store. We'd visit and stay here again if given the opportunity.

Very nice!

Pool and sunset

We enjoyed our stay. We appreciated snorkeling gears and golf clubs/balls that were provided. The whole property of Papakea Resort doesn't border any swimmable/snorkelable beach, but we saw gorgeous sunset in the evening and the rainbow in the morning! We had fun trying different beach every day, all within 20 minutes of driving.

Great property and great location!

We had an amazing week at this condo. Especially loved opening the windows at night and listening to the ocean, the whale watching and the fact we saw sea turtles right on the shore! Comfy beds and well-equipped kitchen were a plus! I would stay here again!

Peaceful Paradise

Papakea has been a favorite stay of mine for over 20 years. The location is quiet with spectacular ocean views, pleasant beach walks and plenty of amenities. The grounds are nicely manicured daily. The condo is well appointed, sufficiently stocked, and very clean. Checkin/out is very easy with kind and helpful staff. I enjoy cooking/grilling during my stay, but there are plenty of restaurants and shopping within walking distance. Overall it’s a great vacation spot.

This is our 4th trip to Maui and we have always stayed at the Papakea. This trip was just as amazing as the last three. The room was as advertised. Clean, comfortable and just a 1 minute stroll to the ocean for the most beautiful sunsets. Couldn’t be happier with this room and location.

Beautiful view, nice amenities

We really enjoyed our stay here. The view from the master bedroom, living room and lanai was amazing (probably the best view in the entire resort). Pools, hot tubs, koi ponds, tennis courts…. all fantastic. Appreciated the ice chest, beach chairs, putting golf supplies, and extra beach towels. The space felt clean. Only suggestions I have are: please get better bed pillows (they’re awful!), the living room could use an extra seat/cozy chair (there’s just one couch that only seats 2), I would have liked more local recommendations in the welcome binder (there’s wonderful local restaurants nearby but the binder felt generic). Overall, the space was a bit in need of some repairs and updates but we loved our time in this lovely vacation home.

We had issues with the A/C and maintenance came and said it was the due to me removing the filter which had black mold on it, he put it back on, I removed it and only ran it during the heat of the afternoon. Leaving the front door open helped tremendously. Yes, it needs a deep clean, cupboard fronts and other things, there needs to be more seating and the couch needs to go, but that's the extent of it. The grounds and other residents are above and beyond. We will 100% go back. The view is amazing and there's good water pressure. The mattresses are memory foam and there's plenty of pillows. Great place, definitely in need of updating/refresh.

Property is in a great location with a beautiful view from the Lanai and a nice size. The grounds are immaculate and so pretty to walk around! The condo itself is in definite need of a deep cleaning and refreshing. We spoke to the property management when they came to fix the broken blind and to point out some damages so that they were aware and didn't think we did it and then again to replace a broken blender. When asked we were told they are only allowed to do minor upgrades up to $100 and the owner has to authorize anything else. We loved it and would love to stay again but it really needs a deep clean and some fresh paint..(we took pictures) ..the walls are visibly dirty, chipped, gouged, and the ceiling shows water damage in the kitchen. The blinds in the spare bedroom were filthy, covered in black dust. The living room rug curls up and was a tripping hazard (we used heavy pots to try to hold it down) and the screen door was broken. What was sad to see was that in the guest book, multiple guests wrote about the rug and the screen door all the way back to 2017 and the problems are still there!! Also, some missing and helpful kitchen items that were also mentioned in years past still don't exist. Again, beautiful grounds and condo could be 5 stars but they definitely need to take the time to fix up, patch walls, repaint, fix rug, put more colorful pillows, bedding, etc. I would be more than happy to help them with that :)

Beautiful location and grounds!

Amazing grounds and views! Your Comments The grounds were amazing at Papakea, it had it all! We really enjoyed the pool, hot tub and table in the common area that was ocean front and a gorgeous view of the sunset. The proximity to the shopping center (walking distance to both the Supermarket, coffee shop, food, and very close to ABC store) was so convenient. The grounds are manicured beautifully and we loved watching the koi from our lanai. I would never call it "beach" side, there is no beach- so that is definitely misleading...I would have loved for there to be a nice sandy beach to walk on, but like I said the grounds were amazing and the "seawall" view of the ocean is remarkable. The only downsides to the grounds in my opinion was that the security guard kept telling our kids they could not jump in the pool.. I understand no diving (it was 7 feet deep) but no jumping?! It said on the long list of rules that you could not even play "Marco Polo" which is absurd to me. Not to mention when the pool happened to not be monitored there were people jumping, flipping etc. Also they said no playing of music, I get that too but it was also not consistently enforced. I did love having the BBQs around the pool so we could watch the kids swim and prepare dinner. The condo was great, facing the ocean, and koi ponds, and you could see the nightly sunsets beautifully. There were some issues with the condo though. Some of the flooring was cracked, and we were only provided a very small amount of hotel shampoo (luckily I brought my own). The AC is a window unit that only cools that one main room and not very well, and the flap that directs the air on it was broken. It was nice the condo did provide scuba gear and golf supplies for the putting green. One of the portable fans were broken at the unit, and the shower clogged easily. I did not mind the furniture/beds etc. I did wish there was a bit more of a seating option in the main room though. All in all it was lovely. We really enjoyed our stay!

Not the quality we were expecting

To be brief, the grounds, staff, pool areas, and despite having no beach, we loved the chairs out on the sea wall. So the property itself was pretty cool. The room itself was not the quality we were expecting. We were too embarrassed to have our friends come over to join us and spent our time together at their VRBO. My comment to everyone to describe our unit was that I felt like I was moving my oldest into his first apartment. Old furniture, very loud single window air conditioner, badly cracked outdoor table, old furniture, the do-it-yourself Home Depot flooring and fixtures and try not to look up at the bathroom vents covered in lint/dust The kitchen was in descent shape but with hand me down furnishings. Live and learn- everyone was very nice and communicative, but we will not be returning.

Nice, clean condo

Enjoyed our stay at the condo! Nice property, well kept up lush landscaping and Koi ponds. Beautiful views of the sunsets every night! There's an ABC Store within walking distance which is very convenient. There are beach chairs, umbrellas, some sand toys, beach towels and ice chest that were great to have to use. Overall great experience!
