Never seen a reception behind a glass barrier in any hotel. Feels this is an high risk neighborhood and unsafe. Breakfast is terrible. Most unhealthy and not even milk/dairy alternative for lactose intolerant. Room as extremely loud and with the sound carrying through the walls. AC/Heater is loud. I have most certainly seen better Holiday Inn Express. Front desk did give 1 hour of extra time to check out.

The hotel is close to the Jamaica LIRR station, E and J subway lines (a 7 minute stroll). There is a grocery market just south of the station with restaurants along Sutphin Blvd.
